do we have an explanation how PAX (fiat <-> crypto exchange) works?

Right now it will be something like the following:

USDpax --> KMD --> LP --> Exchange.

You could also do the following for fiat:

USDpax --> KMD --> LP --> BTC --> fiat

I am working on a special project that may give a more direct access to fiat with fiatpax.

I guess USDpax is a kind of token/asset?
I think the point is: how to make the swap USD --> USDpax in a secure and decentralized fashion. Maybe the komodo notary nodes will be used to secure a kind of gateway for fiat deposit?

Each currency is its own chain. That is the power of Komodo. As to how they are created, i need to study that more.

PAX isn't gateway for fiat deposit, it is a way to have fiat-pegged tokens that can be used for crypto trading or stability but you must already have crypto. Maybe later some fiat gateway will accept pax assets. At this time the only decentralized entry point for fiat money is Bitsquare.

Announcement

Two-factor authentication is now possible on our ICO site.

This feature is a bit late, sorry for the delay!

Another Announcement

We have finished our second whitepaper! It will be published on Saturday.

It's titled: "EasyDEX – A Practical Native DEX"

Soon anyone can use the Iguana wallet & EasyDEX GUI to store and trade other cryptocurrencies decentrally. That is our vision and that is what we have been developing.

Thanks for the 2FA inclusion, been a bit nervous without it!  Smiley

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Thomas A. Edison

Yes, at current BTCD prices + possible low activity in the ICO till 20 November = 1 BTC investment in BTCD should give you around of 30%-35% bonus (depends of final ICO funds). The only problem is the low liquidity market in btcd/btc pair. I needed 10 days to accumulate around of 350 BTCD at 0.00415

EUR http://148.251.56.54/ and USD http://148.251.56.52/ are explorers for the fiat assetchains

latest komodod appears to work properly with paxdeposit, ie. you can convert KMD into fiat equivalent automatically based on the current pricefeed.

a hardfork that enables 5% APR issuing early next week is released and after several iterations the ratification process is looking much better.

The interest awards are one of the last items remaining that could require a hardfork to the KMD test chain. Assuming we can get it enabled and debugged, what is left is the reverse withdraw of the pax fiat assetchains and consensus on maximum exposure.

I will try to finish the remaining komodod changes required by mid-Nov, along with third party chain dPoW functionality so there wont be distractions when I switch to porting the native DEX to the notary nodes.

At that point, we would be ready to declare the existing KMD test chain as the mainnet and we would have 33 dPoW secured assetchains (32 fiat equivalents and REVS)

It's the best way to get this coin. You get a bigger bonus than buying the ICO.

That's really good thinking. Seeing most ICO, it might also be worth buying at a later time, gamble on it going under ICO level.

I need help. I want to swap my Bitcoindark coins. I followed this tutorial to get BTCD wallet run on my Linux machine. Compiling seems to run successfully and wallet opens without problems. However the hidden .BitcoinDark folder is not there (hidden files are definitely shown) For that reason, there is no wallet.dat file, too. There is only hidden .git folder shown?
Was something wrong? Does it make sense to create the hidden folder and BitcoinDark conf file on my own?
