every block, each utxo gains simple interest in order to compound it, you need to spend it. there is a one hour setback and with txfee, the optimum is maybe a daily tx. not sure.
an extra 0.1% per year or so can be gained by compounding
Okay, that means the interest rate for interest is 0.1% if I do not transfer the received interest. Now if I transfer the 1.3 KMD from address A to B and back to A (transaction costs of 0.002 KMD), 5% interest is paid on the whole 10.001,3 KMD, right?

yes, the ismine, iswatchonly is from the point of view of the notary node that fulfilled the request if you queried about one of your addresses, it is quite unlikely that a random notary node will be able to spend it (ismine:true) there are several other similar point of view logics that need to be applied to the returned output. if you keep in mind you are getting pretty much the raw output of the corresponding command run on a random notary node, I think most of the fields will make more sense

When you hold a balance it automatically receives 5 % annual interest. Once you create a transaction the interest is added to your main balance, and then the new sum will start acquiring interest. If you do nothing you will receive 5 % annual interest. If you move it every day or every second day you get compound interest which would give you ~5.1 % annual interest... quite marginal. You can also just send it back to the same address, so there's no need to create two transactions. All in all, thinking about this just makes a simple thing overly complex Just hodl your KMD, there's nothing you have to do.

I think you are overthinking and overcomplicating it. 5% APR is paid on utxo that are more than 10 KMD and older than an hour. That is the rule. So if you just spend a utxo, then both the destination and the change address are utxo that follows the rules. Just spend funds (to yourself or anybody else) and the change address comes back and will start earning interest after an hour. At the rate of 5% per year. If you are actively using KMD, there is nothing really extra you need to be doing. The rule is 5% APR is paid on the entire utxo that is more than 10 KMD and older than an hour. The one hour is subtracted from the age for interest calculations it doesnt matter how many times you spend it or not, if a utxo is for more than 10 KMD, after an hour it starts earning 5% interest due to fixed txfee regardless of tx size, there is a very slight bias in favor of larger utxo, meaning there is an incentive to combine many small utxo into bigger ones, especially if they are smaller than 10 KMD. This has the effect of reducing the total number of utxo and a smaller memory usage, though the difference wont really be noticeable for quite a while

Can anyone share a link to a road-map or more information about the future of KMD?
Thanks
Here's our roadmap: Finished milestones - security (dPoW) - privacy (zk-SNARKs) Half finished milestones - stable assets (Komodo Currencies) Future milestones - smart contracts - smart businesses - hierarchical chains Komodo Platform is building financial innovations, and the smart contracts are a natural next step after all the privacy/security features and the pegged Komodo Currencies (32 national currencies). We will create technology that allows people to organize horizontally with smart businesses (or decentralized organizations). With the technology, you can fund/get funded anonymously, interact with your shareholders/co-workers anonymously, and pay dividends. In essence, we will build tools that allow people to interact with each other without permission or third party. The hierarchical chains vision is about making blockchain scale. We can use the dPoW, DEX, and lock/redeem innovations we already created to launch additional blockchains that are part of the same network. For example, we could launch a Komodo chain#2, and funds could move from chain#1 to chain#2 with a similar mechanism the KMD moves to kUSD, or kEUR chain (Komodo Currencies). These additional blockchains would be secured with dPoW and connected with DEX. The user could make a payment using any of those blockchains, and of course, the KMD supply wouldn't arbitrary increase as the KMD gets locked in one chain at the same time it moves to another chain. Having ten chains will increase the tx capacity by tenfold, and that is how we can scale Komodo, the Komodo currencies, or any coin that is launched within our platform.

Regarding payout requests on the ICO site, just to be sure I understand correctly: If I want to transfer my KMD balance to a exchange, I need to enter the KMD wallet address I got from the exchange in the field "Enter KMD Address" and confirm to change the KMD address. Then I go to the "PAYOUT" page and request the payout. Maybe this sounds obvious (I know) but it's better to ask...

Nothing will happen to it, after your withdrawal you will be in control of it instead of Poloniex. During the summer we will port all the NXT assets into Komodo assetchains (independent blockchains). More info about that when the time comes.

How to send your KMD to an exchange- go to 'home' tab - click 'use exsisting KMD address' - input the deposit KMD address you got from an exchange - Now that you have the correct KMD address you can proceed to the 'payout' tab - Since you are using a 3rd party address you don't have the seed, and thus you will click 'skip' - Follow instructions and confirm the withdrawal Warning: make sure you are doing the withdrawal to a correct address! Once we send out the KMD there is no
way to retrieve it.How to send your KMD to your own KMD address1) go to home page, click 'HOME' 2) If you don't have a seed generate a new one by clicking 'Reset Seed', follow the instructions 3) Double check your seed matches with the KMD address, click 'Check KMD address', follow the instructions 4) go to 'PAYOUT' tab 5) click 'Request payout' 6) type the seed, click 'confirm' 7) click 'send' 8 ) wait that we process the payout (check your KMD address from kpx.io) 9) after we have paid, you can open Iguana Desktop App 10) Select 'full mode' or 'basilisk mode' and insert your seed to the desktop app Iguana Desktop AppInstall the Iguana to send/receive Komodo. Launch Komodo in either 'full mode' or 'basilisk mode'. Links to step by step instructions can be found from the website. Keep in mind that the Iguana was just launched and it's status is 'public beta', thus there are some bugs. However, using your funds in 'full mode' or 'basilisk mode' is safe. For now it is not possible to generate more addresses, but when it is you will have to backup those addresses. You can always get an access to the first address that is generated with your seed, so as long as you don't generate any additional addresses all you need is the seed. Keep in mind that the funds are not really in your wallet - they are in the blockchain. The wallet is used to monitor, send, and receive funds. Please keep in mind that with the 12 word seed anyone could access your funds and steal them, so store it somewhere safe and don't share it. Download Iguana from from our website: https://supernet.org/en/products/iguana wise words here for further good work over it...thaks,,,
