Usually I just watch this thread but the fact that Ark dropped out of the top 100 recently made me want to drop a few lines here. For me the problem with Ark is that it is so far off its original plans right now. People initially invested on Ark for the features it initially promised to bring but the team seem to have taken a large detour to get there. I feel that it will take them one to three years of Ark core versions to go back to the original plans : interoperability, IPFS, NFC, Smart Card, ArkVM. Other original plan elements (IPDB, anonymous transactions) seem to have been scrapped or set aside without it being clearly stated by the team. ArkVM is morphing into ArkLogic in the latest whitepaper. Also Ark has not had any major partnership despite FX Thoorens' ties to members of the French government. Those partnerships with big companies or governments are oftenly what puts altcoins on the map. Another point : Ark arrived in early 2017 in the crypto sphere, that's pretty late (first mover advantage seem to be really important in the crypto sphere). Even despite the Roadmap it's not quite clear in which order and when the team intends to bring this and that feature. I do want to say however that the team has kept on delevering new things and advancements steadily and that Ark is undervalued.

NFC and Smart Cards are hardware-related features, aren't they? Had ARK initially promised to develop those systems? I hadn't heard of them.

Personally I'm here for ARKvm or ARK-Logic as it's now known. And I'm happy with the new way they approach this, they'll allow each DAPP blockchain that uses their smart-contracts-like platform to run their own sidechain. This way there won't be a case where a new start up gets famous and the spike in transactions volume affects every other application in the chain.
The ARKvm system will also give more control to developers.
They're also keeping to their promise to develop plugins that will allow developers to easily build their blockchain without having to code it.

All those features are missing from the Ethereum blockchain and for a developer like me are very convincing to make me choose ARK for a game.
I find their development speed slow, but if you watch their GitHub page you'll notice they have one of the most active teams. I believe their slow speed is because they decided to take some detours along the way and re-work some things, but trust me, that proves they are serious.

When you realise you can do something better, it's always much easier to ignore the though and keep doing what you do rather than deleting part of your work and redoing it better.
I'm glad ARK has chosen not to be lazy but change part of their plans for the better.

this project need some hype. i don't understand why they're paying a bunch of people to stay on slack or even reddit but none is on bitcointalk. i have see none posting about ark on altcoin general this few years, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0
i think this say about the hype of this project, none. i'm not encouraging shill posting but nothing wrong about it. i see many projects posting nonsense shills on there to creating hype and to bring attention to their project, i have seen none from ark people. i see they don't even bother to answer questions here.

yes, I feel it too, Smiley I am here from the beginning and it looks like this interaction point are missing now. in the past many team members actively interacted here with existing communities, even though it was only to answer questions from the people.

Direct touch to the community seems weak at the moment, such as there is a distance between the community and the team, and that weakness points are currently used by other projects to compete.

Dont forget that important points for mass adoption require the role and support of the community, even though bitcoin is growing in the same way, it's because of the role of the community that supports it to this day, so don't lose that spirit.
let's grow the enthusiasm of our community just as we did in the past, and i'm sure that we can become bigger and stronger in the future Wink

honestly I miss cannabanana   Grin

it seems that the current price in BTC is approaching the initial price when ARK is launched. as I remember, the price was 0.00003350 BTC when it was released to Bittrex and before finally flying to around 0.0012 BTC in the next few months. for early investors like me, this is clearly a good level to buy back and I will try to start filling my bag again and start putting buy orders with averaging from now on.

97th place in the rating market cap, that not a day and the price is getting lower and lower, the rating is lower and lower, the project will soon fly out of the top 100 and everything can be closed, everything below the top 30 is not needed by anyone.

Please sell ASAP. I'm kind of sick of your whining every day. Thank you Smiley

Yes, please buy from me this $ 5 shit and I will forget about it with pleasure.
This is the worst my investment in cryptomir.
So what do we do a deal, accept webmoney or bitcoin?

I never paid more than $0.20 for 1 Ark, so I can offer you that price. But you can probably get 3x more on Bittrex. Your choice Smiley

at this rate of fall, you will soon see your purchase prices, do not oversleep, otherwise you will sell at $ 0.0001

I sold some for $5-10 during the crazy 2017 bubble. So I don't really care how low the price goes. I did my profit taking when you started your investing... Might start buying again if it hits under $0.20

I know I sound like a snobby bastard. I don't enjoy doing this to you at all. But you need to understand you shouldn't put money you're not willing to burn into this... If you can't handle the loss, sell and forget about it over several vodka bottles...

Or you could try not being a whining crybaby and just wait a while (months, years, ..) for the price to go back up (hopefully).

There is no choice, the price has become such that it remains to wait for the result, either 0 or return on investment. When I studied the book and the roadmap, I was sure that this was the best project, now I’m not sure about that, the team urgently needs to change financial advisers and reduce costs, as well as to engage in aggressive advertising of the project and implementation of projects using the Ark itself, This is not done then in the memory of people they will remain as fraudsters who are not able to fulfill their obligations to investors.
Secondly, I am embarrassed that we are in a conversation in Troy instead of thousands of people. At this rate, you can live to delisting with a good stock exchange.

I am not sure what you are talking about here. There is no ARK book, I believe you mean the original whitepaper. Our vision is still solid and we are constantly hitting milestones and crossing off roadmap items since we launched. We turned $800,000 USD into over 4000 BTC, I think our finances are doing just fine. Our overhead is very small and we have operating expenses to last over a decade, which increases exponentially with the increase of bitcoin price as well. You contradicted your statement about our finances pretty hard with the demand for advertising. You can't reduce overhead by spending more money. I don't know who you are referring to as fraudsters, but the ARK team has done nothing to even justify this accusation. We raised $800,000 USD with the promise to build out the ARK software and code. There was never any promise of anything else, and we even offered full refunds during and after the TEC. I don't know what or who troy is so I cannot understand your embarrassment on that subject. We have not been delisted from any exchanges either.

Hi ARK, Most of the people that are still holding ARK, are still holding because in the beginning
you guys talked about Interoperability/ this is what sells/ this is the future.

Now all you guys talk about is Core V1, Core V2, Core, Core, Core
Core this Core that/ Core, Core, Core.
No one is going to rush to invest in ARK because you're talking about Core.

Cosmos, Polkadot and all those projects that are talking about Interoperability are the ones
everyone/traders are flocking too.

Come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, get with the program
Get this bad boy goingggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

            Huh

Interoperability with Ark don't exist, it's probably just a scam pitch. ACES is just a community member interoperability which is also centralized.
I don't think Ark ever have interoperability like it said it would have when it was first created to be. I guessed people see this in Ark and her team and the reason they don't pay attention much because they know these are the clown team. I started to lose hope when they keep asking community what to do next and really don't know how to fix when their chain is broken, everyone be screaming in their Slack chat.
You know, the sad part also other scam copycat teams are still be copying Ark.

Please cease from these wild accusations and assumptions. Read the new whitepaper and follow the ARK project closer if you would like to know about atomic swaps, HTLC and more within the ARK ecosystem.

With the recent ARK Desktop Wallet update to v2.4 the brand new plugin system was revealed. Allowing everyone to build and install custom plugins right in the ARK Wallet. As promised, here is a guide to assist developers building their very first plugin.

Guide available at:  https://blog.ark.io/ark-desktop-wallet-development-guide-developing-your-first-plugin-fc00139906eb

Any example of working plugin? Perhaps a basic plugin game like delegate fun have?

Example plugins are quoted in the blog post, you can check them here :  https://github.com/ark-ecosystem-desktop-plugins

Thanks. You should offer bounty or contest to creating more worthy apps so people know more about Ark.

This has existed since 2017, bounty.ark.io Wink
