SERIOUSLY!!! Fuck me guys how can anyone even with even normal IQ agree to the very first box you got to tick. Its basically saying they can do what the fuck they want with your details. Are you fucking dumb as shit agreeing to THIS!
THIS:
I acknowledge that, for the purposes of operating the Portal, Cryptopia Limited (in liquidation) may disclose my personal information to foreign persons or entities that may not be required to protect the information in a way that, overall, provides comparable safeguards to those under the New Zealand Privacy Act (as described further in section 4 of the privacy policy). I authorise Cryptopia Limited (in liquidation) to make these disclosures.
Yea I'll calm the fuck down if you can persuade me this is ok.

It won't let me get beyond the captcha.
Which captcha from all? The one for the sign-up? If this is the one that you are referring to, you need to put a password of min 14 characters. I didn't get any spamming notification and I want to make a step further to see what is this. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics from the process but as a signup process isn't something "hard" or strange. The only thing is that you have to agree to a T&C page, stating that your credentials will be used for verifying you with your Cryptopia account and for any other purpose that law enforcement, lawyers, or Grant Thornton see necessary. Now the hard/ crap part. After you log in, you will need to choose 2 from the total of 7 "Account Activity Questions", in order to verify yourself with your Cryptopia ex-account (pics below). This method can be more than hard since the details after ~4 years fading, at least from my brain/ mind/ memory. So even if I try to remember some things I still can't pass this automated process of verification. If I make it through, I will post along with pic(s). If by any chance someone else signup and manage to do and pass this process, please inform here. Portal.cryptopia.co.nz main page (after successful sign up): https://i.imgur.com/p7tds0U.pngAccount Activity Questions: https://i.imgur.com/P5uJqbQ.pngP.S: I can't make them smaller (for some unknown reason) but if someone can, please do it and re-post them for all to see. There was nothing letting me enter a password. It just asked for email, account name, and street address. The captcha there errored out on me.

Just FYI, I have contacted Grant Thornton directly and am awaiting confirmation that this email and the "Claims Portal" are indeed legit or if it is another 3rd party "scam" like that cryptopia rescue outfit... I'll update if/when I get a response.

I also contacted them, several hours ago. No response. They said in the last update: "...note that any communications relating to the Liquidation will come from the official channels such as the Grant Thornton website, or the Grant Thornton and Cryptopia Facebook and Twitter accounts." I don't see an update at those official channels. This appears legitimate, it goes to the valid domain... but, very unprofessional all around.

I also receive the same mail I think it's not connected to them and I didn't bother to open the link since I'm afraid it have a malware or any phising attempt content. But if those mails really came from them I wonder on why they didn't update their community here. I think the best thing to do is to wait for the update for full clarification since to for sure many cryptopia users still want their balances back.

I also got the email, I haven't done anything with it yet. Thanks to those who posted the questions being asked, that way I'll be able to prepare, I think I can answer two of these with certainty.
I have heard some saying a bank account was asked for, is that true ? I mean cryptopia wasn't a fiat exchange/gateway so why ask for that ?

If they wanted to scam (they have already scammed by the way), why would they ask for this information from old clients and give them a false hope that they are serious in returning the amount. I understand they won't return our money, but why they are playing this drama when most of us have no good hopes from them.

Does anyone know when the trial for that guy (who has name suppression) (who is a former employee of Cryptopia) who was arrested for stealing crypto from Cryptopia more than a year ago is going?
I'm surprised no one in this thread has picked up on it as yet.

Because right now biggest issue is return of funds for all just because of this we all missing things like this just thinking is this possible we have funds back but right now after reading this all now I am feeling I have no chance just 0% because missing some documents due to harddisk problem now just watching and keeping eye on these things.

You need to register/ sign up and not with your Cryptopia credentials. New registration from scratch.
I have heard some saying a bank account was asked for, is that true ? I mean cryptopia wasn't a fiat exchange/gateway so why ask for that ?
Nothing about a bank account or depositing any money. "Cryptopia Rescue" on the other hand wants money to "proceed".

I agree with Indymoney on this. All of us want our funds back, so our priority is to do whatever we can in order to get them. Searching about that "dude" won't help us regarding our funds. Besides, we will know (eventually) from crypto media channels.

So you can start thanking me, I will answer you how to register a claim correctly and without errors.
1.You must follow the link from the letter 2. The first common problem is a non-working captcha where you enter the address, in order for it to work, you just need to choose the address that Google offers you. If you enter your name and your address and do not click from the list, Google will not let you through. 3.At the end of the registration, you will have an email password from him and an autifier. Enter everything and that heavy page appears with a choice of account confirmation. 4.I chose the registration date first, as this is the easiest confirmation. We are looking for 1 letter from the cryptopia in the mail using the built-in search. There will be a registration date, BUT this is your local date, and you need a date in New Zealand time. To do this, open Google and search (what time it is in New Zealand) then by the time that was in your letter, you either add or minus the difference between your local and New Zealand. It may turn out to be 1 day more, maybe 1 less, or maybe get the same day. 5.Secondly, I chose the output date that I had last. Also, I started searching for letters in the email and found that I displayed ltc and the address to which I displayed. Everything is also simple. We open coinmarketcap and the coin you are interested in. Under the rank there will be Explorer. Open all Explorer and look for the address you are looking for. By finding the address you can easily find that transaction with the hash and time (the time, as in the previous paragraph, should be summed up under New Zealand (you can see the local time in your letter) ).
Ask your questions, since I am also lost and I would like to help all caring people.

Can be easy only if you saved the automated replying mail back then. If not, you can forget about it. 5.Secondly, I chose the output date that I had last.
Same for this option, easy only if you can recall after 3+ years and if you had only 2 or 3 assets/ coins/ tokens there. If you had more or make a bunch of transactions each week, then you can forget about this option too. In other words, the method/ way that they choose to verify users are based on memory which is near to absurd for such a matter. More than a lot of users that had their funds there will be stuck and not able to verify themselves with this "system" and that means that those funds will be claimed from Grant Thornton.
Does anyone know the last date of filling up the form ?
No, at least until now. Nothing mentioned for any deadline.
