I wouldn't be surprised... I called their office on Monday, was forwarded to a guy named "Russell", who asked me to email my query to a "Tom Aspin"... I also tried emailing the GrantThornton "enquiries" email address listed on their website on Wednesday and got an auto-responder saying that some lady called "Rachel" was away until Dec 16 and if it was an urgent enquiry to send a text. So I sent a text to the given number. It's now Saturday and I have not received a response to ANY of my enquiries

Based on my experience with this company this week, I don't expect anything to happen in any sort of reasonable timeframe.

This is really serious concern as few members want this all very quickly but I am also feeling this can take more then 1 year because they have good income from this and they never try to solve this all very quickly just for sack of victims its really shit which is happening around us and we are not able to do any thing just wait and watch.

Since my coins on the exchange were not worth a lot in terms of USD$ I think my privacy is far more important to me so I have to let it go. I think the bigger issue for concern will be for those that want to preserve their privacy but will compromise on it in the Cryptopia case only for them to be told they will receive nothing or a tiny fraction of their funds.

So what will happen to all the coins that do not get claimed? Who has ownership of those?

Do GT get an extra pay day at the end of the claim process(targeting at least another 3 years at least)
Or do the coins get held in perpetuity until claimed?
Or do they get distributed equally to all the registered claimants?
Or is it given back to the company and therefore property of the shareholders?

They literally wrote "all time and expenses incurred and billed in teh liquidation are reasonable and necessary" ... You go to read about them and you see 650$ per hour.. Yes like they said "reasonable and necessary".

Looks like they have a lot of Support Tickets and guess it will takes some time for get an reply , but for sure there will be a reply !

Looking at the interim accounts low level admin are charged out at $165 a motherfucking cha ching hour.
Make up an elaborate way to create meaningless work with a mountain of support tickets and that cow is going to be milked dry before you can say what the fuck happened to my crypto.

To be honest there will be many users refusing to send their KYC so those funds will remain unclaimed. They should divide any unclaimed funds between those that have claimed funds and try to increase their percentage of returns because the likelihood is nobody will get 100% of their losses covered.

If Grant Thornton end up pocketing more than it will become a bigger travesty than it already is.

The first and most important thing that GT has to do, is to find a way to verify users without such a complex system as they have now. Even if it's like all the other exchanges. You have to wonder why GT never reached out to the users of Crytopia and asked us how we would approach the task of refunding funds (as well as securing the funds in the first place)
