Someone could enlighten me what is the reason mining this coin? It is profitable, which is very unrealistic for me, or it is just pure joy mining a new coin? Nothing can beat the profit of MRC right now, IMHO. Because the nvidia are doing well... (and actually cgminer isn't ready yet...) Someone could tell me the current diff. Want to make some quick profit calculation. Thanks in advance. the coin hasn't been launched yet... I mean they will relaunch it at 00:00 CET (10 gmt) from the IPO: 1x MNR = 0.00001117 BTC (125MNR/block) If it hasn't been launched then who mining @ 1gh pool and why are you guys soloing all the time? I don't understand. I know about the IPO price already, i just need the diff for some quick calculation. Btw FYI with IPO price if diff > 150 this coin becomes unprofitable. Of course if people willing to pay a price higher than IPO price, then it is different. But I doubt that too. the old wallet... that's kind of moronic though...(since it launches in half hour) lets call it testnet, it will sound more normal... the diff 1.something (from wallet reading)

I just tried your compiled version and ran it against HVC with drastic drop off in hash rate. Went from 24MH to 16MH with 2 750tis.

I just tried your compiled version and ran it against HVC with drastic drop off in hash rate. Went from 24MH to 16MH with 2 750tis. have the same problem (with my own compilation), it is due to the fact that gpu usage stays at 50%, you need to open 2 separate instances to run at full gpu usage.

Strange as I don't have to do this on version 7 or any other version. I know others have had to do this but I was lucky before I guess.

We did a little mistake with the Timing. Plz do the follow (if you compiled the code a your own): open the file: "Heavy/heavy.cu" goto line 329: "MyStreamSynchronize(NULL, 0, thr_id);" Change it to: "MyStreamSynchronize(NULL, 1, thr_id);"
This should help, we implemented a Counter, so I didn't tested this exact way. Next release will be fine Christian

For some reason it's not clicking for me how to "install" the prerequisites from the OP message.
Any chance anyone could give a quick tutorial or walk me through it here or IRC?

Is this what you are looking for? Quite easy: Get Visual Studio Pro 2010 (Trial if you must) Get Cuda SDK 5.5 Get the source code from github (google cudaminer) Extract source code in it's own folder Get libraries from first post by Christian (almost 50mb) Extract libraries to the same folder that the source code folder is in, so not to the source code folder but one up. Open the .sln file in the source code with Visual Studio. Select which version you want to compile, and compile it. If it errors: Go to your Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin folder and rename or relocate cvtres.exe and do the same with another cvtres.exe under Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin\amd64, then run Visual Studio 2010 and try compiling.
If it doesn't work, just change everything back.

That was quite helpful! Now I think I'm to the last step which wasn't included in the tutorial. SourceCode.txt has the following entries NOTE: ccminer50.exe was compiled for Compute 3.5 with #define MAXWELL_OR_FERMI set to 1 in three .cu modules ccminer35.exe was compiled for Compute 3.5 with #define MAXWELL_OR_FERMI set to 0 in three .cu modules ccminer30.exe was compiled for Compute 3.0 with #define MAXWELL_OR_FERMI set to 0 in three .cu modules What is the difference between ccminer35.exe & ccminer30.exe? What is the preferred way to build for 30, 35 and 50 EXE versions? Every so close, Carlo
