all versions of ccminer has crashed for me as well, I cant find the problem. I have an ASUS 750Ti OC. Mining HVC.

How much oc if any? I've only had hvc crash with too much oc.

The card is oc, I havent over clocked it any.  I have had the crash problems for weeks now. Even some times I have to re-install the drivers of all 4 cards

Try changing your settings so Windows never turns the display off or goes to screen saver and then just turn the display off manually.  I've fixed a similar issue by doing that before.

Also with ccminer I used to get random crashes often when the error reporting was enabled and on occasion a card would crash due to windows display recovery feature.  I think on all of mine I just disabled the display recovery altogether but I don't remember.  I think you can just set a different value for timeout which might work just as well.  With it completely off, if you have a problem and it freezes, you'll have to physically restart it or hold down the power button to unfreeze it.

Here is something to get you started.  I don't have time to look through this massive thread and find the other solutions we're found together the last few months(on my lunch break currently).

Hehe, thx for the info. I'll try those things, when the error windows pop up it some times freezes my whole miner and I have to restart and re-activate the cards. My screen never goes off or to screen saver so, that is not the problem.

Yeh ive found an orphan and a block in the last 12 hours. Be nice if it said it was an orphan then just saying it was rejected
listtransactions in the debug windows ( if it is rejected by cc/cudaminer, it usually doesn't make it up to the wallet)

Ive got 2 blocks submitted successfully by ccminer but rejected by the block chain. Just shows its status as a question mark. Never seen it on another coin but it says it wasnt accepted because another peer had a transactions around the same time

I had 4 of these with BTQ solo mining and finally the client froze up. When I reloaded it they were gone. Lost 6 hours on soloing that when we first got quark and I must have gotten myself on a fork somehow...

Set -q and it will only show when you find a block or submit a share. So solomining you will only successful blocks
Well, that's wise, but now I cannot see my hashing speed.
Grin That a choice you have to made.
However, the speed never change (from my experience), so once you know what is your speed for your cards, there isn't much point to continue to display it.
I think using ">> log" (or something like that) should give you the full logfile (in linux playing with tail and grep could help you to achieve what you want... but in windows I am totally clueless)

@nomad1109: Thanks for the BTQ, you quadrupled my balance.

[Your startup command] 2>&1 >> logfile.txt

That will redirect standard output (1) and error output (2) to a single logfile where it will append to the end of the file rather than overwrite what is there.

You won't see anything on the screen anymore, but you will log all the output to a file you can search through later.

There is a way to put the output to both, but it can require some more setup or specific needs on your end...

[Your startup command] 2>&1 | tee logfile.txt

Hope that helps.

Excellent explanation and great community. Thank you all!

from the post:  Algorithms: NIST5: BLAKE - Grøstl - JH - Keccak - Skein

and NIST5 is in ccMiner github version (no version number bump)

Unlike quarkCoin, there is probably not much of an nVidia advantage here because they've removed the divergence from Quark, and also the BMW algorithm.

If you really need to talk, then this coin is for you.

use -a nist5

this is very much untested. I will be solo'ing talkcoin for a while... allright. Works.

Code:
[2014-05-08 09:50:02] accepted: 1/1 (100.00%), 31014 khash/s (yay!!!)

Maturing of blocks takes >1000 blocks. Meh. Will be a while before I can start to jabber.

this was a 30 minute hack, so that's just a source code update.
