If I was to setup a mining machine with quad 750 Ti's powered by a sempron 145, would 4gb of ram be enough to run ccminer efficiently, or would 8gb be needed?

I tried to run 4x 750 Ti's with my sempron 145 and 2gb of ram a few months ago and that didn't end well. If anyone is currently running their miners with a low powered CPU such as a Sempron 145 I'd appreciate if you chimed in. Smiley
Running 3x750 Ti's on the cheapest available Sempron with 2 GB of RAM.  Still on ccminer v1.0 .. getting 5.75 Mh/s total for X11... no overclocking.  ccminer uses ~15% of the cpu.  I wouldn't recommend 2 GB on windows though... that sounds like a nightmare... this box runs Xubuntu and has free ram still.  Built the box before I had heard of X11... thanks to the authors of cudaminer/ccminer, the box is more profitable than ever.
Sadly Windows needs more than 2GB Sad 4GB is the bare minimum of what I'd recommend to use with Windows
I got few. 6x750ti miners with the cheapest celeron I could find. Each rig has a 4gb ram, running windows 7. I only had problems when ccminer only released with x11 support, a day after Christian released another version, and since then CPU use is about 15% on all algos.

i've bought 8gb instead(the same model as my gaming rig) so if all this crap won't be profitable in the future, i can use those ram instead of selling them

It will be profitable as long as NVIDIA got advantage. If someone upgrade AMD for that algo  , it will not be profitable to mine sooner or later. Recent example is talk coin.

talkcoin is still profitable despite amd boost, 0.015 per rig (6 750ti) is not bad imho

how is the power consumption 750ti on talkcoin>?

it depends on the oc for 1300 core around 60w per card

Because of the low heat and noise.I decided buying 3x750ti and put them into my computer-case of daily use.But since then my computer is laggy when mining. It cause a bit uncomfortable when I use this computer.Does someone find the same laggy problem and solve it?

They supposedly would have extra ARM cores, maybe to deal with the overhead, as a response to Mantle? I wonder if it could let you access them with CUDA Wink

Also, latest beta driver 340.43, made me freak out. At first, it wouldn't let me hash at all. Just had to restart the miner, and it worked Tongue I'm also noticing a small boost, does someone else notices this too?
with new drivers my order of gpu is changed  Angry
after call deviceQuery i get order 750ti 660ti 750ti (pci bus 3, pci bus 1, pci bus 2)  Huh
but nvapi and msi afterburner show right order!
so my split screen ccminer doing wrong stats order for gpu now....

reduce the "throughput" variable in the scanhash function of the algorithm you're currently mining, and recompile the code.

how is the power consumption 750ti on talkcoin>?

For 2 750Ti I get ~115W for JPC and TAC, so 57 - 58W per Ti

That's after removing the TDP set on 750ti by reflashing the bios?

haha i am sure he will have that by the time i start mining a new promising coin.  thank you for giving us a miner for jackpot while the diff was still low. only reason i made roi on my rigs (jpk) solo'd 10mil coins in the first few weeks.

Any plan to have a day a miner with real Failover support for cudaminer & ccminer ??
Cudamanager don't switch back to pool. Can't set rig for rent or use pool like nicehash without the failover  Undecided

Christian is busy with other more important stuffs. There was a quick&dirty hack with services and only avail for Windows. You can search it in this thread. If you don't like it then write it yourself. It's not difficult btw, it is just too boring that no one cares to write it.

I am mining jpc at the moment, some silly dude killed the profitability on talkcoin  Grin (and if it really goes to low reward with the next vote... Undecided)
I didn't see anything really interesting lately, the latest crypotonote, I didn't even get a block at low diff...

Zelante was busy coding something like this. Hopefully he'll release some beta versions to us as it comes along Smiley

i've been waiting for some sort of manager for ccminer for awhile now, so i'm keeping an eye out.

yes I guess it is MonetaVerde...
To be honest after the Aachen mess (mountcoin/horizoncoin/orioncoin), I am a bit suspicious about cryptonote in general...
especially as the other one can't do better than going on swaphole

would be curious to know how many coin are just some class project...  Grin
(quite frankly I had a better opinion of RWTH before that  Grin)

Yep, Zelante has a failover .bat: https://github.com/KBomba/failover-ccminer-bat
No idea if he continued working on that, tbh.

With the profit switcher I'm writing, you should be able to turn off the profit switching and run on failover only. But I wonder how I could check if the stratum is back alive without launching a (competing) ccminer? Would a simple ping suffice to see if the host is back alive?
