Thought i would throw my 2 cents in here, just upgraded to 3.1.4 and running 32 usb miners and everything running fine, except the last miner is showing up twice ICA31 2x, and seems to be mining, so did i just get my 33th usb miner 4free? PS I have already tried restarting the miner 3 or 4 times still getting that 33th miner in there somehow use the same .bat file i been using since 3.1.1 here is what i have in the bat file sides the login/pool info: -G -S all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100

Maybe! I don't know what would cause this kind of thing :/ -G -S all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 You get some more functionality by using -G -S erupter:all

-G -S erupter:all btw Luke there is nothing about -G in readme it says only GPU mining can be disabled by specifying the -S opencl:noauto option.

Luke,
Since you have a Mini Rig SC, I was wondering if it has a built in router/Linux like Avalon or you connect the 8 long boards to an internal USB hub and then connect that hub to a PC?
Just wondering if it is possible to run one bfgminer on Windows to hook up 3 mini rigs. Or do I need one separate PC per mini rig. Can one PC handle three mini rigs?
Thanks, af_newbie

Probably really dumb question here. I'm running 94 Erupters/bfgminer 3.1.4/acer aspire netbook/ubunto 12.04.
How to list all the miners and their production? the list truncates at screen length....
...so no way to know if some do not work or have errors...

ya i had the same problem when i was only mining with 4, till i added the other 28, seems you can use the arrow keys up and down to scroll the miners list, also the important info stays up top hash rate/error rate /%/etc..
Hope this helps..

It has a Nexus7 builtin, but you can plug the USB into a Windows system just fine. Can one PC handle three mini rigs? If it's powerful enough (which really isn't that much).

It's a fork of cgminer, isn't it? It began as a fork of cgminer (a CPU/GPU miner), but not to be confused with the current cgminer, which has become a fork of BFGMiner for trolling reasons. For "trolling reasons"? It couldve just been for teh lulz. It is always so difficult to distinguish

Wait, are you saying I have to be running Gentoo to have cpu mining run by default with bfgminer? I thought I just used "--enable-cpumining"? Even without it, my miner fires up and mines TRC no problem. (I have other problems withother pools and other alt coins but thats bc of the learning curve for a n00b like me)

Recently installed asuswrt-merlin on my RT-N16 and installed Entware and installed BFGminer pretty easy, problem is when I run the args bfgminer -o stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u WORKER -p 123 -S all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 It just blanks out putty and does nothing. Am I missing a step?

Am I missing a step? Is that for Block Erupter USB's? You don't need the icarus flags for them to run. If the Erupters are the only devices, you can use -S erupter:all and get a few more options, as LJR mentioned previously.

I forgot to mention that this is a older 3.1.1 build, I'm pretty sure that doesn't work with this older build. I tried it anyways, It doesn't even show anything in putty.

Also here's a debug log I get when I try out my old args. [2013-08-04 08:12:23] setrlimit: Soft fd limit already identical to hard limit (1024) [2013-08-04 08:12:23] ft232r_scan: Found 10c4:ea60 - not a ft232r [2013-08-04 08:12:23] ft232r_scan: Found 13fe:3200 - not a ft232r [2013-08-04 08:12:23] ft232r_scan: Found 1d6b:0001 - not a ft232r [2013-08-04 08:12:23] ft232r_scan: Found 1d6b:0002 - not a ft232r Seems like I'm missing something to detect the BE, Hmmm. Quick update: I just checked dmesg and it says the BE is registering as a GSM MODEM, WHAT THE HELL?

Unless of course you use it for some reason. apt-get / aptitude purge modemmanager on debian/derived systems. I did this on my ubuntu machine before my Jalapeños arrived.
