I think philippines is a bitcoin friendly country.
Many filipino is using bitcoin and some are creatinf altcoin that is affiliated in philippines like pesobit.
Banks in the philippines is slowly accepting bitcoins by letteting them withdraw it in their banks

It's not the "banks" accepting bitcoin.
It's just the local exchange having an agreement/deal with the bank wherein when you cash-out, the coins are converted by the exchange(sold to the exchange) to fiat.

They then buy eGivecash from Security Bank(a single-use virtual gift card) with the amount you sold.
They send you the codes and you get to withdraw it from the bank's ATM machines.
It's just a convenient service the exchange offers.

Besides, I haven't even seen a single physical shop where you could buy directly with Bitcoin. (Have you? Please share.)

I would also go for the U.S. , Australia, the Netherlands, and France as being top bitcoin-friendly countries as they do have plenty of merchants accepting bitcoin.

Mining is China.

You can get a lot of the countries are bitcoin friendly at the South America, there are a lot of bitcoiners in there. And it's already supported by their environment. A lot of store which accepts bitcoin for his payment.
I may think if in some countries outside of the South America the bitcoin will be becoming friendly for all while Russian are pull his statement for ban bitcoin in his country.
I haven't heard of a lot of Bitcoin users coming out of South America, but if it does have a fair amount of users down there then that's some very good news. If you don't mind me asking, to your knowledge, do they primarily come out of Brazil or are they spread out more?

I know that there are some European countries that are incredibly friendly to Bitcoin, but I can't name them off of the top of my head.

Well Switzerland is going hard when it comes to being friendly to Bitcoin, which is kind of fascinating in its own right. Considering that they weren't really specifying their interest in bitcoin prior to the last few weeks, I would say that they're very open to the idea.

Norway or Denmark was also supposed to be relatively comfortable with the idea of Bitcoin too, if I remember correctly.

My personal list that I consider that are bitcoin friendly countries are China, U.S, and center europe.

There may be also other countries but those that I read in the news are mostly these including Switzerland, Norway etc.

And this is a good news because bitcoin is getting popular in rich countries which can indirectly invest in bitcoin.

I live in Lithuania and I can say that my country is bitcoin friendly. We have some bitcoin startups which already become popular worldwide like Spectrocoin or Coingate. There are some shops and business which accepts bitcoin, we can pay for taxi with bitcoin.
But there are some negative things: our central banks gave warning to use bitcoin only at our own risk. Also, media creates negative opinion about bitcoin.

same in here Indonesia, bitcoin is not illegal and already popular in some people. but Central Bank still not accept it as legal thing ( but it not means it is illegal in here ) because the risk too. but i think it is only about time when people use and government can accept bitcoin like the other countries that already did it

You don't have to go to America just to spend your bitcoins. It's pretty easy to get a valid ID. It only take you one day to get one. Maybe more than that, but it's worth the wait. Moving into another country just to be able to use bitcoins in real life just doesn't sound wise to me.

Since you're able to buy things online using your bitcoins, then maybe you can sell those items into fiat in the real world. It's also not that hard to find another bitcoin-curious guy in your area. Just sell your coins into another guy in real life.

I would think Brazil would be extremely bitcoin friendly now. But that was during the Summer time for the Olympics but don't know if they kept that enthusiasm going after all the tourists left.

China doesn't care about using Bitcoin. As soon as the profit from mining dries up China will abandon bitcoin.

I think every country is a bitcoin friendly country .well in the future it might happen that bitcoins maybe illegal in the near future .but dont loose hope rather u should sell those bitcoins and enjoy ur life .kudoos Smiley
That is not true. Bitcoin is not in the law in most of them and is illegal in some. There aren't many countries which accept Bitcoin, especially among developed countries. It is prohibited in Iceland, in Norway they have some additional taxes, EU doesn't say it's illegal, but isn't very excited about it either.

I can't exactly say that the Philippines is bitcoin-friendly but if we base the transaction volume coming from there, which I think ranks in the top 5, you can say that the Philippines is ahead of most other countries. We know that the Filipinos are very fond of social media and are very much almost always online, so the digital currency is something that they are already using.

Yes, I agree! I think one of this country was Philippines. Although Philippines are not on the top 10 list, many bitcoin users may find in this country. if you will enter on the group pages you will see how people of the Philippines really patronising bitcoins. Also in this country many are already using bitcoins in buying merchants and paying bills.Another country that i believe Bitcoin Friendly was sweden.
Yeah! I live in Philippines and I think it's bitcoin friendly. In fact, we can even buy loads, game credits, vouchers, bills, tuition, etc,. But it can only be done via internet transaction and not on real payment unlike on other country. And another negative thing is our new law made by our President Duterte which is making online gambling illegal so I think bitcoin is affected to it on our country. But all in all, it's great and good way on earning some extra money.

Most of the reports I've read claim the USA and Canada to be the most friendly large countries with a bunch of smaller no population (who cares) countries mixed in.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that places like Sweden and Denmark love Bitcoin but, let's face it, those countries combined have a total population less than the greater Los Angeles area. The population of Denmark is just under 6 million. The population of the San Francisco Bay Area is 7 million.
You got a point there, country by country comparison won't ever bring out the right picture of things as 40% of some country with a population of say, 60 million is no match with a country of 6 million and being 100% bitcoin friendly. In that regard, I think our focus would now point to U.S. and China.

Probably such information is not available on internet because bitcoin is anonymous system and no one can track it. And also no one have that much time out of busy life so better lets us stay happy with what we have. But 1 minute China have more bitcoin user i know.

We are anonymous but our transaction can be trace, so we still have to be very careful only. But in general it's popular because it's anonymous and it provides confidentiality when transacting online. We have to promote bitcoin as it's our only way to have freedom and will bridge easy transaction from country to country.

Which country has most number of bitcoin users, miners and vendors? And in which country bitcoin is accepted the most? Like in at institutes or super malls or stores etc.
Has such data been calculated and available on the world wide web?

Well I have friend in Australia who lived over there, He often said to me how bitcoin is very popular to their country, because there are many business companies who already accepted bitcoin and it always in the news according to him even in the newspaper. So I think the people out there mostly are bitcoin enthusiast.

I once heard and saw that Brazil has a really large number of shops accepting bitcoin in physical world, so i guess that can be called a BitCoin Friendly country for that, because if the government would not allow the use of it then there would have been no places accepting it inside the country.
