I am confused maybe dooglus might be able to help

Today I played for 0.001 and using my bitcoin-qt wallet sent 0.0015 to 1EtPnj78E9RGgcLoMwRdy9icLPVJkUZqmh (My bet)

I won and recieved 0.002 from 18YYp3PVgWbYJ4iyxwJ2ZCVH25JRSHssKV per my bitcoin-qt wallet

Then I recieved the 0.002 that was gifted from this thread from 1BFHfZRjgDGbP22hoe3cVKyqqGy28GWtNP (THANKS!)

But if you look at my block chain it shows I made a payment of 0.001 to 1EtPnj (less 0.0005 for Bitcoin-QT) and 0.0335 BTC to 18YYp3PVgWbYJ4iyxwJ2ZCVH25JRSHssKV (same address that paid me for win)

It now shows a final balance of .0046 in my account

https://blockchain.info/address/16unH6DukY2kJhQHaPSUVBaL2nNp9zceX9

But my Bitcoin Wallet shows the correct value of 0.0401 BTC

Did this account just make BTCs?

https://blockchain.info/address/18YYp3PVgWbYJ4iyxwJ2ZCVH25JRSHssKV

Please read the warning carefully: The payment is automatically sent to the first output which isn't a bet, if such an address is not found we will try to send to the address which held your coins previously.

I have decided to send out 0.002 to any bet regardless of win/loss, just post the transaction here.

What are the terms for this?  Is it limited to one transaction per player?  0.002 is twice your minimum bet, so it seems like a guaranteed win for the players.

The only limit so far is the obvious one transaction per user. I will send out another 3 0.002's regardless of bet size and that will be it.

While I'm asking dumb questions, what's this bit of the table for?

I saw one of the players in the video feed put some chips on it earlier.  Does it represent a different type of bet?

I sometimes see the bored-looking-wheel-spinner-guy put chips on it when he's working out how much to pay people out.  But maybe that's just because it's nearest to where he's standing.

Edit: like this:

It came up '12' and all those bets appear to have lost.

Roulette Announced Bets or Call Bets (Used in French roulette tables and in some European casinos with single-zero wheel roulette tables. Common in most UK casinos with single-zero wheel American roulette tables.)

Number Neighbours bet/Neighbors bet (Voisin du Nombre): 5 chips bet on a number which covers the number itself and the two numbers on either side of it on the roulette wheel.

Zero Neighbours bet (Voisins du Zero): 9 chips bet covers Zero plus seven numbers on right, and nine numbers on left, 0/2/3 + 25/26/28/29, each with 2 chips, 4/7 + 12/15 + 18/21 + 19/22 + 32/35, each with 1 chip.

A Third section of the Wheel bet (Tiers du Cylindre): 6 chips split bets cover numbers from the 33 to the 27 on the roulette wheel, 5/8 + 10/11 + 13/16 + 23/24 + 27/30 + 33/36, each with 1 chip.

Full Orphans bet (Orphelin Plein): 8 chips bet covers 0 + 6 + 9 + 14 + 17 + 20 + 31 + 34, each with 1 chip.

Orphans Split bet (Orphelin Cheval): 5 chips bet covers numbers 6/9 + 14/17 + 17/20 + 31/34, each with 1 chip split bets, and number 1 with 1 chip bet.

No such thing as a dumb question, curiosity is praiseworthy.

I have been sick with a horrible flu, one of those antibiotic resistant mutated ones, it's hard to breathe, eat etc. I will be resting and watching zombie flicks for a couple days. Please don't run in circles and FUD screaming "It's a scam it's a scam!" if I do not reply as promptly in the nearest days. Thanks in advance.

Pretty cool setup. The only problem I ran into is the confirmation delay. I thought I won my first bet, but it turns out my bet wasn't placed until the next spin. On my second bet, I literally had to wait 20 minutes for my bet to be placed. Are you looking at solutions for this problem?

You had to wait for 20 minutes because the 0.5 bet was placed without any fees, as I've mentioned earlier bets that cost more than a certain amount of dollars will not be confirmed with 0 confirmations because then attacks would be profitable. This is pretty standard for any bitcoin casino.

EDIT: Total bets are now smaller than winnings.

Was pretty sure that's what happened. Good to know for the future. BTW, is there any chance of a CasinoBit offering on BitFunder or btct.co in the future?

As far as I know there is a chance that we will sell stock of "Casinobit - Roulette", meaning that you will only be able to invest in roulette and investing in other games would be separate, the reason for this is because profit sharing is a bit more complex when using live streams and an RNG like ours, in the future you will be able to bet on horse races and other various casino games so you would be getting a different % off the total amount received by the house since the prices of "generating" the numbers would be different across different games.

Hope you understand.

I don't know if the help you received from others has already cleared this up for you or not, but I'll try anyway.

I think you received 0.002 to 18YY, not from it.

But if you look at my block chain it shows I made a payment of 0.001 to 1EtPnj (less 0.0005 for Bitcoin-QT) and 0.0335 BTC to 18YYp3PVgWbYJ4iyxwJ2ZCVH25JRSHssKV (same address that paid me for win)

This is normal, due to how bitcoin works.  You wanted to send 0.001 but didn't have any outputs in your wallet of exactly that amount.  So it used a bigger output, sent 0.001 of it to the casino site and sent the rest back to another of your addresses.

The casino site is a little unusual in that it sends your winnings to your change address, rather than back to the address the bet came from.  They mention this in their 'warning' section, and it's mostly fine.  The only problem is if you made two bets in a single transaction - suppose you bet on roulette and satoshidice in a single transaction.  The roulette site would see the satoshidice bet and think it was your change address.  They'd send the winnings to satoshidice, and if the bet won, they'd get the winnings...  So just never bet at more than one place in a single transaction and you'll be OK.

Yes, but it's your account.  It's a "change address" in your wallet.  bitcoin-qt doesn't show you the address, but does include the coins at that address in your balance, and lets you spend them.

Your winnings have not yet confirmed, I will increase the tx, please keep in mind that tx is taken from the house edge with us. If they will not confirm in the nearest day/two days I will look into it further. Usually confirmations are instantaneous.

That's confusing me.  What confirmations are instantaneous?  When people talk about confirmations around here they're usually talking about getting transactions into the Bitcoin blockchain, and that's never instantaneous.  Are you talking about something else?

Also, do you have a clearly stated policy about which bets you process as soon as you receive them, and which you wait for some blockchain confirmations on?  It strikes me that otherwise you could cheat by looking at which number comes up, and then deciding whether a particular bet was just placed or whether you need to wait a while.

Roulette Announced Bets or Call Bets (Used in French roulette tables and in some European casinos with single-zero wheel roulette tables. Common in most UK casinos with single-zero wheel American roulette tables.)

Thanks!  So it's a bunch of bets related to the layout of the numbers on the wheel.  Interesting.

At the moment any bet which is more than 50USD will take 1 confirmation, then 2 confirmations for 200USD+ and an additional confirmation for every 300 from there, up to a maximum of 4 confirmations.

You could argue that we can theoretically cheat the high betting players but you can check the number of confirmations for the transaction and make sure it is included right away as soon as the proper number of confirmations is shown, also at the current moment winnings is higher than the total sum of bets.

The settings are still WIP as we experiment to achieve the perfect ones.

Maybe it would make more sense to allow players to keep a balance "on site" so they can play in real time.  If I was playing with large amounts of money I'd for sure want to know which spin my bet was riding on before the spin happened.

I think we will have the option for players to deposit coins into their wallet with the needed info stored as a cookie on the players PC and close and send back the coins of inactive "accounts", we will always have our games work as "minigames" though, at the current moment we are looking to perfect this system first and look if there is room to expand.

We will also add some more info such as the dealers name and signals such as LAST BETS and NO MORE BETS which we receive server side. We will have to introduce outside players which are not familiar with the bitcoin economy to bitcoin in order to have everything working.

I find it fascinating watching your roulette video feed.  I think there might be something wrong with me.  I'm like some kind of voyeur, only with gambling instead of sex.

Lol,

Me too to be honest, I don't like to mention this because it seems like I am desperately trying to plug something but betting on a feed is different on the scale of excitement for me.

Still feel like crap with a 38.1 fever, so excuse me if I do not reply as promptly in a couple days.

Thanks, I will check out yours too.

Someone has bet 0.5 btc on dozen and won 1.5 btc in game 13713, people are getting lucky, I might be out of a business soon  Wink

I believe I have not stressed this enough: This is still a beta, we are still perfecting the system.

Feeling much better now and we're going to rewrite the whole server, using the timestamp of when the transaction was received as means of determining in which game it belongs is the first step I believe, maybe I'm not that familiar with bitcoin on a technical level though so I will let our programmers handle it.

Should we worry that if we have a big win you'll be unable to pay out?  Or do you have a big enough bankroll that your risk of ruin is minimal?  Joking about bankruptcy is probably somewhat off-putting given the history of Bitcoin casinos defaulting in the past.

Things to bear in mind:

1) transactions don't contain any kind of timestamp
2) block timestamps can be "in the past" by some non-trivial amount and still be valid

So time of receipt is probably a good way of doing it.  That means the players have to trust you though of course, since they can't be sure (other than believing you) as to when you first saw any given transaction.

bet 0.5 btc on dozen and won 1.5 btc in game 13713, people are getting lucky, I might be out of a business soon  Wink

Should we worry that if we have a big win you'll be unable to pay out?  Or do you have a big enough bankroll that your risk of ruin is minimal?  Joking about bankruptcy is probably somewhat off-putting given the history of Bitcoin casinos defaulting in the past.

Feeling much better now and we're going to rewrite the whole server, using the timestamp of when the transaction was received as means of determining in which game it belongs is the first step I believe, maybe I'm not that familiar with bitcoin on a technical level though so I will let our programmers handle it.

With the average game lasting 30 seconds I wonder by how many games exactly could we potentially delay the placement of the bets purposefully? Because the player can compare the time we've received the transaction and the time other nodes in the network have received it, the difference in time between us and the earliest node could be potentially used to get an answer (assuming it isn't sabotaged of course) according to my understanding, we could then establish a "global index" of the average number of games we could delay the placement of the bets by as means of proving that we're trustworthy, of course a superior approach would be for the high betting player to press a button confirming the exact moment the bet is placed. As of the moment there is virtually no risk for low betting players assuming the server doesn't crash or go offline.

I approach life in a very light manner, I consider myself to have a sense of humor and every time I chat with business colleagues across the world that I consider friends a couple of jokes at each other expenses are mandatory, that still doesn't interfere with my professional life and me being respectful when talking to individuals that don't know me. I am an avid bodybuilder that has used to do stand-up for fun, I can pretty much joke about anything. Normally I will address serious posts in a serious manner and pisstakes with trolling.

I myself have a pretty good stack of coins and can also get investors in order to pay out debts that arise as a part of this project so I really see no reason for us to steal from our customers, that's a stupid mans illusion.
