Bounties are always the great way for new user to know more about the project. I guess that a significant number of users stay with the project after bounties ended. Also, i am very surprised because Qtum paid bounties with bitcoin. Usually, new altcoin and ICO has been pay for bounties in your currency.

I dont think so, when iam still new in jr member, i apply to signature campaign and had no problem with that, and knew bounty after that. Ya i agree with you its so rare for new altcoin paying their bounty with BTC, but its good thing though for most of user who love the bitcoin payment Smiley

In new altcoin and ICO, we can have a lot to invest on, we should know what will be the decision of QTUM, but, first of all, this QTUM can have high value. We should invest on QTUM, I think this can be high value on bitcoins. All of the bitcoin will be on their value, Qtum can compete on them.

Iconomi made 4x after their release, why don't Qtum make same or even more? Qtum is clearly better than Iconomi, Chronobank and other similar ICO's. Qtum's competition will be against Ethereum. Qtum is offering similar smart contract system but with better ideas. We don't hassle with POW, we go directly with POS.

i think so. Qtum is the finest alternative coin and can compete with any other. Qtum is better than its competitor. They should multiply qtum because it will be the best after it releaeses.

They could always pay a small % of the sig campaign earnings in qtum, to make it more popular among bitcointalk posters.
Think what would happen if you got $20 worth of an altcoin from someone, you wouldn't want it to go to waste, so you'd download the wallet, register to an exchange and start checking the price, you would get involved. If you dumped it, your choice, it wouldn't affect the price even if 100 signature posters like you did the same.

Sadly, I missed the Q/A session but it was amazing reading the whole session today!
I am happy to see investors are allowed to invest via numerous cryptocurrency!
Also, SpringEmail and Qloha looks great development! Concept of 'master contract' is something, I am fond of reading the @earlz post on Slack! Overall I am really eager for Crowdsale!

It is funny how people compare Apple and Oranges. Qtum is offering something completely different from ICONOMI and ChronoBank. To say has more potential for growth than both I can argue. I will wait for the whitepaper  and see if it indeed worth the hype, because it seems to be one of the ICOs people are waiting for this quarter since Mainstreet is restricting some countries

Here is the important bit of my research. Vitalik is invested in QTUM. We all know that Ethereum is not going to switch to POS ever. QTUM has made their platform compatible with Ethereum's present smart contracts and dapps. So I speculate that a great migration to QTUM will occur simply because it might be more stable, faster and more scalable. The migration will include Vitalik. He will leave Ethereum and declare it a community project.

Yes, mainly all altcoins pay the bounties in their own currency while some prefer paying in bitcoins till their project is not completely launched. I hope they start letting us know how does qtum tokens work in real and how can we trade them on exchanges.

Reading the Q/A sesssion. I'm glad that they received enough funds to make this project work for the next 2-3 years. Smiley

What is the source of this information? I know one of the former Ethereum foundation member is invloved Anthony Dilorio but I have never seen Vitalik name associated with Qtum project. Vitalik leaving Ethereum would end the project

hmm, i don't know if it is as good a news as you think. and you forgot to give us a resource for this news.
besides Vitalik is not going to give up his own altcoin and come invest in something he can not control. ethereum is mostly in his possession and he is making a lot of money from it. so i doubt if he really is planning on leaving anything.

Try to find the source of that statement on slack archive when the QA session live, but i didn't find the source just find a statement Vitalik has read the Qtum whitepaper last years and giving feedback see at Q&A number 11.

vWhat is the logic of this project? Everybody wrote something. My English is weak. I could not fully understand.
 For example when ico thinks how to hold on to the beginning of the coin market?

I did not know that Vitalik would invest in Qtum, this in fact has the potential to attract more investors and improve the way other people see the project. But what are the reasons why you believe that Ethereum will not switch to PoS?

Very loud statements about Vitalik. Why would he cut the branch on which it sits. Investing money in a Qtum is a good idea (it also invests in Humaniq) but leave the ethereum, he just will not. This project will delight us with various interesting news and rumors.

If i have speculate according to the explanation on Q n A session which told us that qtum already gave the white paper or dealing with vitalik it self i would'nt say that vitalik would leave ethereum because he is the founder of ETH it self and already stand beside Qtum what's into my mine that in the condition vitalik would make an a good dealing which purpose for each project to get a large of profit same like addresing the place of each project

If Vitalik have invested in Qtum it's very good signal to buy that token. Every coin in which Vitalik "invests" will have very good pump  Cheesy . Remember other examples, guys.
If u say vitalik would investing to Qtum i would say that you still unclearly know about what actually qtum and eth plane due the white paper

seems the draft version whitepaper online again.
https://qtum.org/whitepaper/

https://qtum.org/qtum-development-updates-2/

seems Qtum have another updates on their development work.

Qtum Development Updates 2

The Qtum development team has been very busy since our last technical update. There are several different facets which are being worked on now.

Qtum Core
Although we have functioning smart contracts and a functioning fork of Bitcoin 0.13 using PoSv3, these are, so far, still on separate branches. The primary focus over the past two weeks has been testing and fixing bugs between these two versions. However, our new priority since both are mostly stable is to merge them together into one cohesive blockchain.

Most bug fixing over the past week or two has taken place in the Qtum Account Abstraction Layer. The AAL is arguably one of the most complicated parts of Qtum and thus getting it correct and secure is of utmost importance.

Here is some recent passing test contracts we have run though:

## In range block hash ##

pragma solidity ^0.4.7;

contract BlockHash {
bytes32 public blockHash;

function storeBlockHash(uint blockNumber) {
blockHash = block.blockhash(blockNumber);
}
}

1. Create a contract called BlockHash
2. Set i = 1
3. Call function “storeBlockHash” of BlockHash with an argument i.

Expected behaviour:
state variable blockHash now is equal to the block hash at block number i

Result:
Pass

## Out of range block hash (> current block number) ##

pragma solidity ^0.4.7;

contract BlockHash {
bytes32 public blockHash;

function storeBlockHash(uint blockNumber) {
blockHash = block.blockhash(blockNumber);
}
}

1. Create a contract called BlockHash
3. Call function “storeBlockHash” of BlockHash with an argument 2^16 (out of range).

Expected behaviour:
state variable blockHash now empty

Result:
Pass

## Out of range block number (block number < current block number – 256) ##

pragma solidity ^0.4.7;

contract BlockHash {
bytes32 public blockHash;

function storeBlockHash(uint blockNumber) {
blockHash = block.blockhash(blockNumber);
}
}

1. Create a contract called BlockHash
3. Call function “storeBlockHash” of BlockHash with an argument current block count – 257 (out of range).

Expected behaviour:
state variable blockHash now empty

Result:
Pass

## Check that the gas and gas price are equivalent to their input from cli (1000000 gas, 0.00000001 gas price) ##

contract CheckGas {
uint public gasAmount;
uint public gasPrice

function storeGlobals() {
this.gasAmount = msg.gas
this.gasPrice = tx.gasprice;
}
}

1. Create a contract called CheckGas
2. Call function “storeGas” of CheckGas with 1000000 gas with a gas price of 0.00000001.

Expected behavior:
state variable gasPrice is 1
state variable gasAmount is close to 1000000

Result:
Pass

Also, here is a preview of the Qtum Core git repository, showing the team working on bug fixes:

Qtum Core Git Repository

Qtum Core Wallet (QT wallet)
In addition to focusing on the core blockchain protocol, we are starting to work toward branding and reworking the Qtum Core Wallet for PC and Mac. We have a splash screen, basic color changes, and icons. We are still deep in work on this, so there aren’t yet any screenshots available. Additionally, we will soon begin integrating smart contracts into the GUI so that regular users will be able to deploy and interact with smart contracts.

Future Directions
We are constantly looking to implement not just what designs we have now, but also ensure that those designs will be extensible and work well as a foundation to build on for our future activities. These are in-flux designs, but some ideas currently being discussed include: better and faster interactions with smart contracts from SPV wallets, making data feeds a “first-class citizen” on the blockchain with efficiency and usability improvements, Automatic/periodic contract execution, simplification of the account abstraction layer (in order to increase efficiency and reduce attack vectors), enhancing side-chain support with smart contracts on both chains in mind.

Qtum Mobile Wallets

Qtum will also feature both iOS and Android wallet at release. The majority of our efforts are currently being expended is testing to ensure that they handle PoSv3 fine, and branding and skinning the wallets so that they look professional and are easy to use.

I think this is going to prove the most popular ICO of 2017.

Looking forward to 1st March.   Smiley
