Reasons why run the gamut, from fear and ignorance, to protectionism of their national currency, to building a new currency in bitcoin’s image. The list, in general, is not much above ten, but that is subject to change, as many countries have not made an official decision for or against bitcoin. Some are banned by the country’s Central Banking system, some are banned by the nation’s government, and in many countries the Central Bank and national government act as one and the same

My country is a country that does not accept Bitcoin is official currency. Maybe the government feared that Bitcoin will affect the economy in a negative direction, making the local currency may devalued and it will make difficult to control the market
Each country has its own laws but I hope there will be a positive change in the near future.
The Government seems still not believing in the bitcoin as currency
especially to make it as the official currency. They still consider this
as an illegal business. For that reason I think bitcoin is not supported in some countries.
yes I also think that government  seems still not believing in the bitcoin as a currency
it has a decentralised nature so no single bank or organisation controls it
and why would any country make a crypto currency like bitcoin make an official currency hey are not that mad , we all know that the value of bitcoins keeps on fluctuating
one single decision by the countries government would make loss of millions and thereby profit for some
why would my country opt a crypto currency with fluctuating value
and the government won't have any control over it so what's the profit for them to make BTC official
ya government can opt BTC   in future if the value remains constant   or would not fluctuate so much
It's not about the government not believing in Bitcoin, because we all know it virtually exist. What the government is worried about id that Bitcoin can really affect the economy of their country. It can promote money laundering because of untraceable transactions and unrealized gains, imagine if half of the population do this, than for sure that country will have a very low national budget

I'm a little bit surprised that in countries where a very high level of corruption officials try to do everything not to allow people to use bitcoin. After all, it would be in their best interest. The truth is not a good influence on the bitcoin.
Well i think they don't want to fraud by bitcoins since its anonymous and they are also corrupted they don't want to lose money because they are addicted in money corrupted even those money should be in people who are poor..
But if the bitcoin will be legal in many countries i think the other country to will also use it and they will not ban it anymore..

And what can we expect more from their government. If they want to monitor the incomes of citizens and that prevents them from doing bitcoin. They live off the taxes from the people, and these amounts are increasing with each passing year. So they will do to prohibit bitcoin.

I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me

I think some people use bitcoin for illegal activities and since bitcoin is not controlled by government so they are quite free to do as they like.So that, many countries don't accept bitcoin rather give punishment to bitcoin user.In my country bitcoin has banned for money laundry.

That is quite a bold statement don't you think? The government usually Ban bitcoin because it is not issued by them
and the most common reason are it can be used for illegal activities, bitcoin don't have any rules about how to
use it that is why the government is banning bitcoin to prevent illegal activities involving bitcoin.

While you are free to believe whatever you like, simple logic, nevertheless, says that these reasons are no more than contrived ones. Really, if Bitcoin is used for illegal activities and governments ban it on this pretext, why don't they ban cash as well, which is by far more widely and safely used for such activities. This reason is laughable. Further, governments don't issue foreign currencies (at least, openly), but they still don't ban them somehow (that would be just outright ridiculous). It should be evident that this reason doesn't stand either

bitcoin will always be good for their economy. maybe bitcoin is not yet officially discussed to their government thats why they dont have good thought about it. maybe if it is officially discussed to them they will know the good factors that bitcoin can bring.

Indeed, Bitcoin can bring a number of benefits to the economy, due to the decentralized way it works and due to the fact that it is a deflationary currency, which brings certain benefits in relation to inflationary currencies. But while it is something that can help such countries, governments probably would not support it because that is something that would diminish the power they have in those countries.

Many governments are testing block chain technologies and they are happy with this new technology but there are some factors many government are not considering because in some countries people are using bitcoin for illegal activities , but another advantage of bitcoin is we cannot able to generate fake coin like fiat currency and also bitcoin supply is very limited.

i think bitcoin has already great impact on the economy of the countries, and specially those backward countries who have access to bitcoin. because in backward countries the unemployment ration is too high and if they get access to bitcoin they can get money even by invest a little amount of their assets specially in  alt coin, and those who have good skills of designing or can provide other good service so they can get job in service section in bitcointalk.org..

The truth be told, it is not the illegal activities that is the headache the governments see with Bitcoin, because those have always been there even before Bitcoin came on board. Not not government, not two, all of them share the same fear that Bitcoin is sure to relegate their local currencies to the background and by them the source of their power over the people would be almost gone.

At my country , bitcoin still not legalize as investment or currency so it make difficult for bitcoin to increase it's popularity on my country.
My goverment said that bitcoin can be use for terorism activity or money laundry which are against our law and still top priority for our enforcer to get rid of it

The answer is obvious, the government doesn't want to have a thing in their country that they themselves can't even control it. Because of the decentralization of Bitcoin that's why some governments do not agree for that currency to be used in their country, it's just too risky for them.
However, there are still some governments that know about the important of this currency. Because even tho if they do not support Bitcoin now people would still use it in some way, cuz nothing can stop people to keep using it..

Well, I think it is a natural thing for the government, if we say that bitcoin is always used to be illegal, and are used for money laundering. mostly, a country that is not too familiar with bitcoin, say something like that. but, basically, they just do not know the potential of the bitcoin. because I am sure, when bitcoin became popular, they will re-create bitcoin be legal.

I have already explained it a few times

Even if Bitcoin was not in fact conceived by some secret service or agency, it can still be used as a financial weapon by powerful governments (like the US) against unstable governments (like that of Venezuela). It is like spreading a lethal virus which only you have a vaccine against or are immune to. Bitcoin is not dangerous to stronger currencies like the US dollar but it can be deadly to weaker ones. It is like foreign currencies substituting the collapsing local one, but it is more dangerous since the failing government can still control the spread of a foreign currency inside the country through banks (by limiting or prohibiting non-cash transactions with it). This doesn't work with Bitcoin since it is not just a currency but also a payment system in its own right and which defies government control

In cyberspace no one can hear you scream
