For me addiction is not the source of getting greedy like OP is stating. OP is greedy because he wants to get more profit and he never stop until he gets what he wants or he lose every bitcoin he have deposit. Well my opinion OP is that you already know the answer to your question. You said you can win with faucet or free money and you are able to withdraw it. Then just keep using free money or faucet, withdraw when you can and never deposit any money that you have withdrew.

Addiction from what I know comes from the dopamine levels in your brain. If it reaches a certain point, it feels good. Making you come back for more even if you are losing it. That's what happens to addicted drug users and other stuff. Some are even addicted to social media sites. It's possible that they are addicted, wanting attention from it. Checking it all the time as a routine of their everyday lives. To prevent this, it's going to be hard because you will be drawn back to it. You should set ground rules for yourself to get better.

Make sure you always remember this phrase every time you get some profits: "If I continued to push my luck, I would lose all the money that already in sight". And then move your money into the safest place. For me the safest place is my local bank account. I prefer to convert my winning coins into my local currency and then send it to my bank account and never use it again for online things. You can follow my path!

A purpose is only part of it in my case. I like to have a time frame for when the goal could be reached at because it might matter if the amount of money gets made within a short time or if I have to do a long term gambling thing. I prefer to get the money faster so I try to manage my money in a method that allows larger payouts. I try not to get greedy though.

Definitely having  proper planning while layouting the strategy and sticking with the budget and target winnings.  This will really control our greed.  In short it all falls in self discipline and the determination to follow the gameplan.

I think the one you quoted have more impact on treating gambling as an entertainment.  When someone treat it as source of income, the person definitely will control himself.  He will be aware of all the possible movement and will strictly follow his gameplan.

10% is not enough I think because the fact that it's 10% only means to have a high profit, you have to have a large bankroll. If you only have like 2 mbtc, that's just 20K sats, and that's not enough in my opinion. It's not sufficient not because I'm greedy, and it's just a tiny amount. You could have better things. You should control yourself also when you have a large bankroll, and you will never know when the unfortunate time comes.

There is only one thing that you need to do so that you will have the control of your own greediness. Haven't you tried to become contented whenever you win some acceptable amount for a single day from your free money? That's the only key for it and every time you win it is better if you are going to save some of it, so that you can secure some profit from it.

Once people win ,we have this feeling of wanting more to to do more from it,or get some thing more from it, we can't control our emotions and we wanting more and more. Yeah when we have funds in the wallet it kills hard to participate into gambling. Only the control we make helps us to avoid. In my view their is no need to make big plans if you have the ability to control yourself to play to certain limit and accept the winning as well losing.

that is very good advice, but i think that gambler shouldn't hope to win 10% from bankroll, when i gamble, i usually take my money back after i win 5% just to be sure that i don't lose too much. Once you start to win something you will probably get greedy so it is better to create some kind of "rules" that could protect you from losing too much, of course if you don't break them

Luck is out of your control, you can't influence it in any way, so you need to change your approach to gambling completely. View gambling as entertainment and fun activity, wager only sums that you can afford to lose and don't view gambling as source of easy money. When you win, save those money for playing later or spend it on something for yourself. Gambling should bring happiness even if you lose, not frustration.
