The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

I read the article, but your VM are not ready until the day before Workerdrop... Also, the drop amount is too low, 10 coins each ... The idea is a good one, though. I have a question, to increase the change of being selected to receive workerdrop, should I use stronger computers? or should I use two computers?

The VM will be ready by the time of launch "...link available on the 19th". As for remuneration, I agree, such a moment in the life of the project could have been more pompous.

Excellent write up on using to get something for your extra computing resources by connecting them with iEXec platform. I have gone through the whole article to recall the benefits. Of course will be joining the decentralized computing cloud type platform provided by this stunning and experienced project working in the space for years.

There is something very unclear in the article:
"Now go to the VM (!?) and paste the file content in the encrypted-wallet.json file which can be found in the “iexec”(!?) folder on the desktop in the VM(!?)"
what the hell is that supposed to mean??
1. by giving out the contents of my wallet i agree to provide full access to the VM 2. I don't have iexec folder anywhere
please clarify!

Done everything in the tutorial, everything went smooth expect I get :
"connect:errno=22" "Certificate couldn't be downloaded, stopping now"
I suppose it's a normal thing, because we are not the July 20th yet?

Never mind, solved it myself. The iexec folder is on the desktop of the VM. Which means you have to start the virtual machine first, wait for it to boot, then on the desktop (Ubuntu) there will be the iexec folder with an empty wallet file inside. Now about the ETH. After everything worked fine, the console in the VM shows: you need 0.2 ETH to proceed. However the guide says the minimum it is 0.0073. Which is correct? I'm asking because i have only 0.01ETH available.

I recommend the Google Docs link, speed is about 10 times faster: http://bit.ly/iExecWorkerMIRRORThe file is 1.5GB (should have mentioned it somewhere) The ETH you MUST have in your wallet is not less than 0.2 ETH!!! I tried with 0.01 and it did not work. Had to do a lot of transactions to convert to 0.2 Eth. Currently there are 124 CPU cores, 241GB RAM, 13,1 THz clock. No RLC dropped and no work done yet. Here is a view from this moment: I experinced something very unpleasent. A power outage. It caused my ETH to decrease from 0.2 deposited to the account to 0.197... after one time fee. I restated the VM and now it refuses to start, because i have less than 0.2!
