Well looks like we are using already paypal if we take into considerationt he high fees we are being forced to pay to let our transactions get confirmed, something paypal doesnt require. Bitcoin is far away to reach, because even with bigger volume of trading at bitcoin its in the general users buying and selling bitcoin not buying and selling products.

Definitely not, Paypal is too strong and everybody knows what is it. Bitcoin is still "green" between common people, it will take years

I don't think it will overcome Paypal, but I hope that they'll begin to cooperate, because Paypal is the most known payment service online. It should be nice if they'll allow us to open a small wallet and migrate some coins there, maybe multiple wallets with multiple coins

I think that this will ultimately depend on the merchants if they opt for crypto payment platforms instead of Fiat. As far as I can see, one main reason why merchants would opt for an alternative method is lower fees.. One such payment gateway with significantly lower fees is paybear.io.. Currently, a lot of merchants have partnered with them.

Paypal s prohibited in most countries including mine whiles Bitcoins is a an international currency used almost everywhere in the country. Because of this alone, i think Bitcoin has the edge in that regards and Paypal is a payment system rather than a currency as compared to Bitcoin.

Isn't bitcoin banned in some countries too. I  vote yes though. I think bitcoin can overcome PayPal only if there are major companies that accept bitcoin for their goods and services.

Its possible because bitcoin certainly has big potential to replace PayPal and it is a lot more better than paypal. However my assumption is that there are 2 things that are preventing this from happening.

Exactly. Bitcoin could replace PayPal in a few years from now, if it manages to improve in terms of transactions costs and capacity. Considering, that it serves as a means to transfer payments to anyone in the world without middleman, it has a huge potential of becoming a competitor against PayPal in the future. While I believe that PayPal would still exist by then, Bitcoin would've gathered a large mass of users due to its underlying benefits (when compared against centralized payment systems like PayPal, Visa, and MasterCard).

Therefore, it's only a matter of time before the Lightning Network becomes widely used on the Bitcoin network. Once that happens, most merchants and businesses would make the switch towards the pioneer cryptocurrency as it provides freedom unlike PayPal. However, Bitcoin still lacks regulation, and the inability to revert transactions, will leave PayPal as the ideal option when transacting with large amounts of money.

Despite this, we never know what will happen with both Bitcoin and PayPal, but one thing for sure is that Bitcoin is growing every day in terms of development and user adoption. With this in mind, it could rise in traction in a faster way than PayPal ever did since its inception, or it could fail leaving PayPal as the ideal option for businesses, merchants, and corporations alike. Just my thoughts. Grin

I do not think so. paypal and bitcoin are in legally and in the market.paypal is owned by the government while bitcoin does not belong to anyone, the company owned by someone must be clear his finances like paying tax

Paypal is already a mainstream payment processor and is widely used by many people from different country. But but, all bitcoin users know that bitcoin really been defeated paypal although bitcoin has not been recognized by the government.

It really depends on the people or business which is much suitable for them to use. In business like online stores they will prefer the use of Paypal than Bitcoin since it takes a while to process the transactions especially now that the blockchain is congested but soon it will be fixed surely. Also, some people prefer using Bitcoin as a payment to the services they offered rather than Paypal.

Bitcoin is getting stronger but i am not sure it's good idea to compare cryptocurrency and payment system. If we talking about amount of people who using btc or paypal , paypal is  too strong .

I have voted "Yes" on the options because i could really see the potential of bitcoin regarding on online payments and if people would find out bitcoin benefits related to this transactions then they would surely change their mind but for now people still use paypal and ebay because these are the things are being used since from the start thats why they would hardly switch easily to bitcoin and also everybody still didnt know about it.

I think that this is possible but right now we are maybe not super close to that but I think in the future there is no doubt that it can do this.

Well, in my opinion. There is a big possibility that bitcoin will overcome Paypal! actually not just Paypal, even skrill and many more. as of now, I think they are seeing bitcoin as a threat in their industry! for me, that is also one of the reasons why Paypal does not accept bitcoin as a mode of payment in their site. I think bitcoin is the best among them!

My opinion is opposite, bitcoin cannot overcome paypal. The reason is simple if paypal sees that bitcoin is the demand in the market then they will integrate bitcoin payments into their system thus they will not be overcome but becoming one with bitcoin. Soon including skrill will be forced to integrate bitcoin into their system.

I belived bitcoin is most reliable than Paypal. It has overcome Paypal because bitcoin is become popular and most uses by anyone.Bitcoin is being uses over the world, easy to access who knows of it and it has a good advantage than paypal. Though it has a difference but I believe its really way better than Paypal...
