I don’t think immortality is something that can be achieved by humans.
Sure it can, there are animals that are technically immortal, there is a jellyfish that basically can live forever. If the jellyfish is injured or sick, it returns to its polyp stage over a three-day period, transforming its cells into a younger state that will eventually grow into adulthood all over again. So in terms of possibility, we definitely can.
I personally would like it, everyone would be immortal too so you don't need to worry about your loved ones dying and there is always something new to do.
But if you couldn't die and got sick of being alive there would be no way out. After a million years you would have done anything you ever wanted to do, and be bored shitless. Imagine the prospect of another hundred million years after that, then another hundred million years.
There is always something new to do, people already do the same shit everyday anyways. Most people literally do the same shit every single day for their whole lives and yet they still want to live more, most of us don't even try 0.001% of the things that are available right here on earth, imagine what's possible in the whole universe. Immortality would also come with other benefits like youth, no sickness, you would feel great all the time, I don't see why anyone would be bored of that.
