What do you think about immortality? Will people find immortality in the future?
Is it possible to transfer a digital copy of the brain to a computer environment?

I don't like it. It could also lead to permanent imprisonment. Imagine that someone will just turn you on anytime they want and you could be transferred anywhere and they have no plans of deleting you.

Either if it's possible or not, these questions challenge consciousness as we know it. If you don't die how are you going to feel? How you're facing life towards this change? Everything can become much more desperate or satisfying, how do you know you're the same each time you wake up in the morning? The only proof of your identity and consciousness are your memories, and those can be easily modified. So much to discuss...

Cannot trust the human race and therefore giving the power of immortality to them can be bad.

Well this has been the talk of the century. Now that we have invented technologies that was far sophisticated than previous and the dreams of yesterday are now realized, scientist are now trying to do what has been impossible. They have tried things with nanotechnology, try to imitate how the brain functions and the idea of copying brains memories to a digital form are part of these studies. Looking at how brilliant people are they could probably do this sometime in the far far future. But immortality is a thing that no one will be able to do in my opinion because even the lifeless matter gets destroyed as it gets old. And we are composed of matter that wears out against time.

Sometimes the fun questions like you, I feel the spirit of excitement. If we are immortal, there will be no more land to live on.

Immortality is something that everyone will wish for, but it consists of a lot of danger.

This reminds me on a quote of Woody Allen: "Eternity is a long time, especially towards the end."
No seriously, immortality is a nice goal for humanity. Not sure if we every reach it, but there will be seriously some beneficial side effects of it. If someone is interested, the book homo deus summarizes very well.

It's possible but don't you think it'll backfire? Like people are aware they will not die so they tend to abuse their immortality.

immortality belongs to the creator, everything created will not be eternal, everything created has a vulnerable time, nothing will be eternal, every living will surely die, how we keep it, avoid it,
as sophisticated and as good as anything we surely we do not as wonderful as who has created us, nothing is impossible in this world with Allah's loving and merciful permission, but death will still meet us.

Being immortal is staying alive forever..It maybe exciting to a certain period but people might get bored of long life..This will also cause imbalance in nature..Earth will reach it’s population limit..It is possible that in the future, men will discover immortality..There is nothing impossible if scientists are persistent with the research in immortality..

Immortality in theory does not exist because I do not know a cure discovered to be able to not grow old there may be something in the future to be able to live longer or may not
