Technology is not always a good thing.

One example is with the children.
In the old days, children used to play outside with their friends.
Now majority of them are just staring at their iPads.

That is bad enough, but when you add the long term effect I has on people the results are devastating, obesity is one of the problems that technology has brought to us, no one walks everyone wants to drive their car for even some of the shortest trips, kids stare at an ipad instead of running and playing sports.

Almost mistook obesity with obsession. There are fitness trackers exploring the markets just as a light on horizon. An iPad per se isn't anything damnworthy, at least it trains the brains and that is a scarce resource in a technologist country.
Unless Angry Birds, of course.

No more time left to play with friends, riding a bike or playing basketball. If you want to enter a good college, you have to work your ass off. And an ipad is the fastest way to do so. (that's if unless your father is rich ofc)

Well let's just say that it depends on the environment that were in. Here in our country , it is more on fresh air and no technology places, which is a really remote place. Though I still barricade myself using the walls to stop the titans from entering.

About the OP. I dont see kids finding new ways of entertainment to be bad at all. Afterall our parents were scoffing at us for watching television or playing ninjas all the time.

Rather the problem is more broad and start with adults, not children. We are taught that technology make us more efficient, yet people who are surrounded by it become very complacent. More slaves than masters in my opinion.

Technology can have features of "golden cage", false pretense of safe space, that can collapse with something as banal as power blackout.

Technology is not to blame for the negligence of parents. No one is forced to give an iPad to their children, but in that case we always have the responsibility of adequately guide our children to use these technologies in the proper way, providing the enough education to prioritize the human relationships and respect to others rather than wasting time in videogames.

Stalin in Russia has followed all the millions of inhabitants and the absence in those days, gadgets are not prevented to do so. It seems to me that not having access to your gadgets your neighbors know more about you than you think.

I think technology has more positive effects than negative as it makes our life much easier and simpler to organize. On the other hand technology has only one minus and that is it can become you dependent to it, you can't do anything without it. This happened to me when I first started working and since I was always used to use electronic gadgets and devices and of course computer this company asked me to keep track of everything in hard paper. I had a lot of difficulties in the beginning until I convinced them that computer is created exactly for this purpose to remove hard paper.

Children must develop and cognize the world around them. I did not have a computer and a mobile phone in my childhood. I really liked my childhood, because playing with real friends is much steeper and more interesting. I agree with you. Gadgets do not interfere with the filling of Nightclubs. It seems to me that the lack of interesting alternatives is the reason that people spend more time on the technology.

Good thing about technology is that we can improve our daily lives but as the time passes by people become slaves of technology or should i say that people became more reliable in technology coz you can work without exerting much effort.It also triggers health issues such as eyesight problem due to radiation and which is also the cause of some mental illnesses.Our body may not be working too much but it gives our brain and eyes overworked.When compared to older generations they were exerting effort but it keeps their mental health and physical health balanced.
