Return just drop again past 24 hours. So T9 is competing against S9 and S9 is far more efficient in energy consumption.
s9's break a lot t9's don't break much at all that said I did not pay for the one I ordered yesterday. fuck it. My dec s9 order had a 22 day delay in shipping. That was more then 325 in earnings taken from me. Now to be fair they shipped my Jan order early so I gained maybe 400 on that for a net gain of 75 usd. I know of more then ten other dec orders that were delayed more then 20 days not one person has posted that they were given a coupon for the delays. I feel that the t9 may not ship as promised and I would be out more in mining income. So I am forced to just stick with my gpus.

crypto is so cheap across thi board Im really suprised to see people buying new heaters ??! for $2100 you couks buy a whole bunch of altcoins and just wait a few months for a double or tripple and thats just getting back to early jan prices.
Same with the A3 , $980 would buy 40k sia , which an A3 in march mining even 100 sia a day would take a year to mine.
I swearz somtimes ppl here make no sense. Lol

Not that cheap. But yeah some ASICS it makes no real sense to buy. One can always just mine and accumulate without effort, then sell at the next big pump. Anyways a T9+ ? for 2000usd...please. They need to adjust to previous prices..before they doubled ? And the next generation of miners is probably sooner than we think too.

You guys should really use the other thread to talk about the T9+.
T9 = 171 hash chips T9+ = 162 hash chips
|
Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

The T9+ are still available on Bitmain for $2k. I was going to buy one last night, but their website didn't work & I couldn't use my coupon. Lucky for me because the ROI went from 9 months to 21 months overnight and looks to never break even with bitcoin heading below 8k.

I need a new space heater for my basement. I am considering this T9 for that reason and that reason alone. I hate Bitmain, but I have several coupons; the thing is for the coupons, I have 5 coupons but for some reason they are olnly letting me use the 50$ coupon, not the several for 125$, and they will not allow multiple coupons on a single order. This company is really horrible. I can't wait until new or different companies incorporate the Samsung chips and create competition. If I could ROI in less than a year I would bite the bullet for this but it does not look like a possibility at this time. The only thing that is good is that it looks like Bitmain is shipping this T9 within 10 days.

Someone on eBay trying to offload a bunch of T9+ at $4100. He's gonna be stuck with them for awhile even if he comes down to Bitmain's $2k price. ROI is not possible now. Even the S9 will take about a year to breakeven unless bitcoin drops further.

Just got my new T9+ from Bitmain.
Slightly different form factor. A little shorter and a little taller. Looking the kernel log, it has 9 chains of 18 chips instead of the original T9's 3 chains with 57 chips each. I am assuming if you lost the first chip in a chain that you wouldn't lose the whole board like on the S9 and T9, just that chain of 18 chips. I don't think the original T9 had this problem, but it would be a huge improvement over some of S9's failings.
Interesting that they would change up the design that much without giving it a new name instead of just putting a '+' at the end of the T9.
Why do this much of a redesign if the 16nm chip is at it's end of life as so many here are claiming?

Maybe the t9+ casing is the same as the upcoming s11? That would make a lot of sense as to why they did this overhaul. This could be a transitionary unit into the newer models. I am liking them so far. Running 4 right now two more come Friday.

One third of my miners are T9. All have been running for a year perfectly. But 3 S9 have bad hash boards within a year or less. Though they didn't cost much to repair by sending to Bitmain US site, it still took some time. So I don't mind to get more T9's for less price.

T9+ case appears to be just like the A3, interesting observation.

Guys remember the T9 and T9+ are completely different miners. They are physically different with different chip counts so you should post about them in the T9+ posts and not here so you dont confuse people.

I just looked online and Bitmain is having a sale on the S9 and T9+. A 14TH S9 with power supply is $1864 but you can buy T9+ 10.5T with power supply for $855. You could buy 2 T9+ for $1710 and have a total of 21 TH/s. I did the calculations with my power cost of $0.064 a kw at the current rate of BTC I would generate about $289.97 profit a month with the 2 T9+'s as opposed to $219.48 a month profit with one S9. I would ROI in about 6 months and even sooner if I got a hold of some good $200 coupons.
Am I missing something? It doesn't seem to make sense to buy an S9 at the current prices.

If you are short on power or space the S9 might work out better. Depending on my locations I have both issues. 1 spot has just about unlimited power (200+A of 220v) for me to use. So long as I can fit it in a 1/4 equipment rack. The other my "warehouse" has as much space as I want. But with a little less then 40A of 110. So yes in theory you are correct. But for me I would have to sit and do the calculations as to which would work better for me. -Dave
