Is it possible to replace "built-in" miners with custom ones?
Yes. Rather simple. It is discussed every 10 pages or so.
Thanks, I´ve found something and just replaced miner in bin folder. If there is any further write-up, I will welcome anyway,

Plus logic does seem to be better than standard estimates and *just* 24hr averages, yes.

Not convincing enough for me. I'd rather have a little less $$$ than to keep worrying all day and night about an unstable program.
I don't like the GUI, I enable the console data. I run 3.0 for the plus logic. I have a few that run 3.0 with only 4 algos across 5 pools 'enabled' and they are over 20 days of uptime at the moment. My 'testbed' machine where I've tried to run all algos, all pools, and work out stable OCs is a pain in the ass.

You can pull the newest compiled miners out of the ps1 on github, and then run them solo, or in an old version, or however you want. If you're not using the plus logic then there isn't alot of reason to run nemos.

how did you do that?
disablig gui and only using console data?

Nemos can mine on zergpool in LTC, and on zpool in BTC?

if I also want to be able to be ltc for payments since I am a small miner, it would have to be able to configure in PoolsConfig.json

Hi guys,

Was looking for this thread for a while, and decided to give nemosminer a try for one of my gtx 1060 rig so see how it works.

As far as i understood it checks the best profitability at the moment on selected pools and performing a mining on that pool/algo. But what abt. minimal payout from these pools? For example it mines 1 hr on one pool/algo, than 1 hr on another pool/algo etc., so i might happen that some funds will left on the pool as its lower than min payouts right? And also it might happen that withdrawal comission from the pool eats a decent part of the profit, right?

Can anyone share optiomal settings/pool lost for nvidia?

I only use one pool, but I wouldn't use more than three.  As long as your active on each pool, you'll be fine.  Most only purge your earnings if inactive for three months.  The more pools, the longer it takes for payouts.  The pool fees are low.. .5% - 1%  There are a few other fees.  The developers of Nemosminer get a small fee (.3% to .5%) and most of the miners used by Nemosminer are free, but a few may have a 1% fee.  Overall the fees are minimal.

thanks a lot for your reply mate.
Can you please share which pool are most effective and common used based on your own experience?
Do i need to tick 24h and plus ticks as well?

It is always better to do your research, anyway I am just cheking only "plus" option and it works OK.

thanks mate that`s make sence, I`m already left with 4 pools and keep monitoring.

I`m also wondering also how can i disable some of GPUs which i dont want to use with Nemosminer?
Do i need to edit config.json manually for that?
Would appreciate any advice

what algos does nemosminer support?

I think every GPU algo. But even if there's a new algo that you want to use, you can just add the miner settings on the right folder and insert the algo's name in the right file.
Oh, and ofcourse you'll also need a pool that supports this algo.

You don't have to worry about that though since someone experienced will most likely add the new algo to Nemos before you do and then you can download the files from github.

Yes, manually.  But can no longer use gui config as it will overwrite.

Is there a detailed breakdown of the "plus" logic anywhere ?

I'd like to read up on it.

guys, need some assitance again.

nemosminer is constantly crashing one of my GPUs so that turns off mining for the whole rig.
most likely the problem is with the GPU itself as earlier i faced few crashes on several algos with little OC, but later found that it was stable for x16r algo.

how can i disable this problematic GPU in nemosminer?

in the config file edit out the appropriate GPU
Code:
    "SelGPUCC":  "0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7",
    "SelGPUDSTM":  "0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7",

Newbie question, if I am configuring nemosminer 3.1 for miningpoolhub, how do I find the appropriate wallet address?  As far as I am aware Miningpoolhub doesn't have one central address that you use to port all the different coins to.

Newbie question, but maybe someone can explain why one would choose to run NemosMiner vs: NiceHash?  What is the advantage to run NemosMiner compared to NiceHash?  I'm running only 1080ti's if that makes any difference.

I like:
  • being able to choose between pools
  • ability to select a custom miner for an algo
  • not having additional fees for using own wallet
  • it works well with the monitoring service I use
And I still don't have full trust in NH after the NiceHack.

What the guy above me said plus it's important for decentralization. I can't know nor control how NiceHash uses my hashrate. As far as I can know, I give my mining power to NiceHash and then they could use it in a different way than what the info they feed into their program informs me.
I've found 3 pools I like (zpool, Zergpool and MiningPoolHub), I've tried and keep trying them to see how they each perform over the long run and I'm planning to keep the best 2.
So far I think the combination of Zergpool and MiningPoolHub performs best, but there are so many pools that I haven't try.
