Refund Demand: ~800 chips

While no news from Avalon, I received several requests from users who want to buy more chips. This adds up to a total demand of ~800 chips.

I'll process refunds in a FCFS order, please PM me your request including the signature for this single CSV line

The address needs to be the one on file, i.e. that one you paid the chips from. After verification of the signature I'll refund the coins to that address.

Please note that partial refunds are not doable, you can only refund the complete order.

story so far - 8/19

chips have arrived via other routes as previously announced, we are shipping them out at the rate of 40-50k on a daily basis at the moment, in addition to the ~150k or so that went out, another 40k was shipped today. There is multiple channel which the chips are arriving from various packaging facility to minimize downtime. Please bare this in mind: while we had backup/multiple packaging companies and various delivery routes, things still will go wrong. There is also testing that must be done, then they can split, packed and sent to the EZP coupled with their CN-22 and be on their way. We will provide more update as they come. In addition, the trade-in and refunds are being processed.

If you have a direct order with Avalon via DHL and want to check to see if your chips have shipped, call DHL at 1 (800) 225-5345  and give them your name and address and ask if there are any shipments on route in your name. Works like a charm

The question has less to do with math and more to do with guessing how the difficulty will develop over the next few months.

I received my boards from batch #1 last week and I am not sure if I’ll get my investment back if the hashrate keeps scaling (almost) exponentially.

Ok not math but making a few scenarios with the difficulty isn't so hard. There are many bitcoin calculators available. Regarding your ROI you said you aren't sure that you will get your investment back but you didn't specify a time frame. You may not get it in 1-2 months but i'm sure that in 12 months you will be very happy with your choice Anyway as i said there are many other threads to talk about this but this isn't the one.

Swiss DHL is not providing this information for security reasons. Anyway, it won't speed up delivery, so let's wait and see.

which part of the post above yours was difficult to understand?  Please dont bump this thread with WTS messages. Every time I see a bump I expect shipping info or other imptnt announcements from Zefir.

Update: Batch 2 shipped

There is light at the end of the tunnel - overnight I have been notified that the second batch has been shipped (including DHL tracking number)

If not delayed by customs, I expect them to arrive early next week, so everyone with orders in batch 2 please ensure to have entered and locked shipping destinations.


I am truly relieved by the news and understand you feel the same. Therefore, I am temporary locking this thread to prevent the update to disappear behind pages of 'Hooray!' posts . It will be reopened soon, meanwhile please PM me your concerns.

2680+3368+3478+294 = 10'000 chips, someone had a hard time counting them all


I took a snapshot of my shipping data on file today at noon and forwarded to re-packaging, so everyone who entered his shipping destination before epoch 1377259200 should receive his chips either personally or at his manufacturer next week.

If you look carefully at the above picture, you see the date code printed as 1332, so two weeks ago, whereas the chips have a date code from week 26 or 27.

With this shipping schedule (looks like once a month a single batch - even though the batches were all paid and ordered within
2 weeks) batch 7 should then ship in February 2014?  This  is  totally unacceptable.

If u chk the file someone made with the combined Avalon orders there were many orders btwn Zefir's batch one and two. Assuming that file is correct of course we should see a lot faster delivery of the following batches as fewer other orders were placed between. So far the other group buys support the files accuracy.

Let us all hope that is so - I am not holding my breath but will give it some more time.
Nevertheless, regardless of the outcome, Avalon is finished for me - not only completely inept,
but also blatantly abusing customers' equipment for their personal gain.  Total fraud.

So, to clarify: packages were sent on Saturday. Due to the smaller number of shipments within EU and the not-really-much-better delivery times with DHL Germany, this time I sent them over Swiss Post as registered airmail. I am preparing the lists for manufacturers to be sent out today or tomorrow (including tracking numbers).
