I would highly encourage raging to speak up and say something. John can you get in touch with him? Do you have a tracking invoice and can we have someone pick the chips up possibly?
Do we have any way to know if
1) the ships have shipped at all?
2) the ships have been delivered?
3) ragingazn628 disappeared with the chips? ragingazn628 will ever log back online to calm the masses?

Well one big wrinkle in ryepdx physically taking delivery of the chips at the original address is that he lives on the west coast and ragin is in Connecticut (I believe). That's a lot of time (and money) for him to fly cross-country for this.
Do we have anyone else in this group buy who lives in the Northeast? I have some family up there that I may be able to call on and turn around and overnight it to ryepdx but I don't have much reputation on the board and if the situation were reversed (where someone else was offering this), I'd be a little hesitant. I mean no malice (I just want the damn things built) but how does anyone else know that of me? =\
Really we need John and / or Thomas to chime in here. Has anyone PM'd John asking for some mediation or at least explaining options as they stand?

I have a reliable member of our Cooperative in Pennsylvania that I would trust with my chips... but there must be members of our group buy closer still right?
No I do not think anyone has tried PM in the last few days to John K. Maybe we can have one person be responsible for communicating for all of us on this?

Hey guys, Sorry for the delay - I'm just back from travelling. 1) The chips are not shipped yet except from the sample chips. 2) Nope 3) No idea on that I am emailing/GTalk-ing him at a regular basis, and have not been able to get a response after the reply above. Does anyone know how to get hold of Avalon for the chip address change? At this rate, I'm estimating that Avalon will not ship this until mid+ August, but it's certainly better to get everything in place ASAP. Truth to be told, I'm personally voting (although I don't have chips here) that a leader change to be done (ryepdx/steamboat/etc TBD later if needed) if possible seeing that he's quite busy/not responding lately.  PS: Anyone who's in the States and is willing to phone him, please PM me for his phone number. Also, the shipping address is in Connecticut, if anything drastic is needed (waiting at the shipping addy for example). |

We really need John K to weigh in on the address change policy. Anyone buddy buddy with Bitsyncom? Maybe he could shed some light too.
No Address Change - Unless it is a special case no address change will be allowed, please allocate time correctly to handle the delivery of these units, There has been too many people attempting to sell these units and changing their shipping address..... I've placed a note with all escrow order like this before placing the actual order, so Avalon should be clear that this is a group buy. This should qualify as a special case, right? |

It should as far as I'm concerned. It sounds like they mostly just didn't want to have their resources diverted by people running an ad-hoc exchange on them. |

I think a good step at this point would be for John K to give ragin's number to ryepdx and have him call. This would accomplish a couple things. It would give us an update, potentially. Also, it would allow the two of them to talk about changing leadership of delivery and how that would be accomplished.

I haven't heard of any, unfortunately. They seem to be impossible to get ahold of by design. I'll try and ask someone in China if they know of any other ways to get hold of them. Yeah, I personally think and believe that this isn't a scam (seeing that he could well go MIA after the chips are received, and his information and stuff matches out), but he might be in a dire emergency though. |

I live in New York and could drive out to Conn to pick up the chips. As I have stated before, when I offered to handle shipping, theft is against my religion and I take it seriously. Ideally we could just get Avalon to change the shipping address. You'd think they would be accomodating for an $80,000 sale...

I am all for change of shipping address if possible.
We will need to send the new LEADER the shipping details.
Are we all in agreement for Ryepdx? I vote for him to be the one that takes over and takes shipment.
Escrow held for managing the Group Buy should be given to him on completion of shipping.
