What is current status of this? I see random avalon chips being delivered to the customers in EU.

I'm sure JohnK would get a shipping notice for tracking and let us know if the order was in transit. We're waiting on an update about whether the delivery address can be changed, as far as I know.

It seems like there is fairly strong support behind ryepdx taking over the group buy. He seems to be very communicative, as long as John K has the appropriate identifying information for ryepdx I would be ok with him taking over this group buy. I have 260 chips on the line.

Optionally, if John K can get ahold of Avalon to change the address I could also handle the order. I have resources readily available for shipping a large number of packages at a reasonable cost.

As for trust, my name is Andrew LeCody and I'm the President of the Dallas Makerspace. So now you know how to track me down. Grin

Update: Yifu remains uncommunicative. John has been PMing him to no avail. I called him myself a little over an hour ago and left a message on his voicemail. I'm not very hopeful about getting a response, as it appears he's using a Google Voice number, but I'll let you all know if he gets back to me.

Should we be successful in the change, I think it would be prudent to kick a little more over to John for his efforts. I don't know how much he got for facilitating in the beginning but this is a scope change in my opinion and he should probably get a little compensation for it.

Thanks Rye...

I have tried back channels to find out information just on chip delivery in general but nothing as well from Yifu on that front.

We can definitely 'chip' in a few more BTC for JohnK as a tip. Suggest chip holders throw in BTC0.05 each.

It seems like ryepdx has earned everyone's trust as the new lead, but I just wanted to add my +1 (40 chips at stake) in support of him if there is a tally being kept somewhere. From my brief interactions with him he is very communicative and informed.

Done.

Whew. Just caught up on the last few pages. For those who missed it, ragingazn is working through a death in the family and depression and is currently.... distancing himself from the internet. The chips, however, will be delivered to his current address, meaning he will be home to accept them. Ryepdx has offered to take over distribution (thank you sir) and is working with John K to sort this out. I think that's correct.

I see people are also transferring ownership of chips in this thread, do we have someone who is keeping the spreadsheet updated?

I believe the only people that have access to write to that sheet are ragin, I believe john k has his own copy that he keeps track of...i could be wrong...

JohnK's spreadsheet is linked to in Raging's signature, so they're probably working off the same one: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiYcEqkgyjc_dGU0VzhHRGpOOUxudWkxdWpDN3RmbFE#gid=0

iirc only Raging has write access to that, I pm'd both him and JohnK because it wasn't updated since i bought dserrano5 and atsecure's chips.

So if Ryepdx does distribution, will he get the address list from raging?

I already spoke with raging so he has my info and knows i bought atsecure's and dserrano5's chips but he didn't update the spreadsheet to reflect that.. those should be listed as my chips (and going to burnin for assembly), but of course he hasnt' been around to update it

I just want to be sure it doesn't get overlooked

So basically the guy who we were trusting with an $80k package has gone missing, the hardware delivery company to whom we paid $80k refuses to talk to us, and there is no-one who can track the total amount of chips that each person owns using the online spreadsheet? Hahaha you guys should have let me handle shipping when I offered.

I think JohnK should just contact the police to put a stop on that package instead of letting ragingazn anywhere near it. Ragingazn should be tagged as a scammer at this point. I'm entertaining bids for my 70 chips if anyone is interested.

Giving Ryepdx the shipping list and access to the spreadsheet needs to happen sooner rather than later. I assume his personal info has been verified through John K.

Yes. JohnK received copies of documents proving my identity and establishing my home address as a part of the identity escrow for my Stumptown Miners assembly service.

Would it be too much to ask john to call dhl to see if it's in transit? A friend of mine got no confirmation from avalons shipping and nearly got his package stolen after an imposter called dhl. He was able to call dhl and prove that he was the owner and have it re-routed back to his real address. Not saying we should do this, but it might be worth it to call dhl and ask if it has even shipped.

According to this,

I received my tracking number with the shipment of my order, but I have to make an urgent appeal to BitSyncom.
Please, I want to change the shipping address before they go to collect your package, now is going to stay in China and it is important not to get to the custom office, please BitSyncom see the new shipping address that I have in my account or listen to my PM thanks.

Yifu promised me to clear my ticket before shipping the chips. So you might create a ticket with chip batches chosen. I really hope he holds his promise. I have a similar problem. He changed my shipping address but not the billing address and phone. Which is important.

Yifu is clearing the tickets before shipping. This may or may not turn to be true (since Yifu has to keep his word), but SebastianJu is a chip buy operator and I believe that Yifu did, in fact, issue that guarantee.

Since the tickets were opened a few days ago I think it's most likely that they have not shipped and that we will be able to change the destination.

Note that I don't have access to the address list ragingazn currently holds, and no, no response whatsoever from Avalon/Yifu etc. My last ticket to them is still unprocessed after 'Being Processed since last 8 days 15 hrs' .  I think that sheet with all users there is quite out of date here as raging -might- have another personal list (along with the physical addresses).

And no, I don't think the chips will ship soon here considering that Avalon's still shipping batch 2/3, and people from the 1st week of chip orders haven't received theirs yet.

Also, I guess I'm sending the package to ryepdx if Avalon finally gets back to either of us. I'm still trying to get to Avalon, been a bit behind stuff (no really as they're not replying anyway) lately.

PS: No need to drop me any tip or anything here - it's just my own responsibility to see every tx I do to succeed. I certainly don't want this transaction to be a black mark amongst my ~600 escrow tx's although the risks are already known beforehand.
