Ryepdx, please PM me your shipping information (that I can compare with your info you sent me last time) so that I can drop to Avalon ASAP once I/we get hold of them one way or other.

Damn, this is a bad combination with the operator AND Avalon going MIA on us.  Angry

Better of Rye to start a new list from scratch and all of us submit our info.

There are a number of changes and sales that have gone unregistered and that needs to be cleared up properly before those are shipped out.

So I have 49.x chips in this order and I was hoping to use the managed service previously mentioned ... but I guess that's not possible now. Does anybody else know of a service where I can just ship them the chips and they will run them for me in return for a modest fee ? Failing that, what are the options for having them mounted by another party ?

Hey guys sorry for being mia for so long. I have been dealing with family and personal issues. There was a death in the family and that triggered a relapse to my depression. I have been going to therapy and I was told not to do anything work related to reduce stress. I had my last session today and I feel great. I will be going through all the posts and PM's on Monday. And everything will be back on track and schedule on Monday. I'm just making this quick post for now. Thank you for your understanding.

user bassclef has reserved my 70 chips, and I will be transferring my claim on those chips upon delivery of the agreed upon amount to this address:

On a side note:
It can be a little painful to compile bitcoin from source on Fedora... here are my notes:

This. I originally wanted my chips sent directly to me, but then I ordered assembly (and more chips) from steamboat and would rather have the chips sent to him. I sent a change request to raginazn, but never received an acknowledgment or reply.

I will be selling my 540 chips in this group buy, PM me with reasonable offers over the original group buy cost will be considered. I'd prefer to sell to those already in this group buy first. Best offer over BTC43.5 will get the lot. Serious offers will be responded to quickly. Selling out to start production on another miner / usb hub project and need the capital.

Wow Bicknellski.  What's happening to your K1 Nano project?  Are you just dismantling?

Nothing happened to the K1 project our cooperative is still working on that we have plenty of chips like everyone else though we are waiting for Avalon delivery.

Just need to get more funds for another project and my 540 chips are good for that. Prototypes cost a bit to get made unfortunately.

The delays have really threw this into the drift wood category.

I'll stay the course, but it might be a race now to see if my KNC miners show up before these have a chance to hash

Avalon was a good proof of concept team but shows that as a company, they are weaksauce

The feeling I have is the chips will deliver late 3 to 4 weeks now given some of Zefir's orders. This group buy should be should be receiving chips now. I suspect if you are doing a DIY you are still good for a month or more as your cost per Gh/s will be quite reasonable. Avalon is a solid chip with overclock potential beyond 450 given you can soak em in oil so there is plenty of life yet. For me there is another prototype opportunity and that to me is a 4 to 6 month life span unit that is more efficient. Also working on a monster USB hub that will be ready in a few weeks. I hate to pull the plug on the group buy but with the chance to develop the next thing can't pass up the chance. I have had a few offers already on my 540 chips so I will give it a few more days then sell if no one else sends in offers.

Edit: Accepted tentative offer for the chips, deposit to be made, transfer to be completed on Thursday the 8th August.

If ryepdx can get the code for the order page Zefir used on his group buy, it was really slick.  I second the idea of starting the address distribution list from scratch, I've no idea who has my shipping info (if anyone) now.

Also I may be interested in selling some of my 330 chips, PM with serious offers at going rates.

I'm uncomfortable with raging resuming his function - I would much rather we try to go with someone more stable like ryepdx.
Yet if logistics get in the way, we might be better off resuming original setup with raging helming the order...

This has been quite the clusterfuck, I look forward to getting my chips in hand and move on.
