It is quite easy to be a bitcoin bear in 2014, none of you can deny that. We're almost finished with this year and it has been nothing but down, sideways, down, sideways, down, sideways, up (slightly), sideways, down, sideways, down...

What did Carl Sagon say about insanity? "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

If you're not a bear right now, then I'm sorry, but you're just insane.

That quote is from Sigmund Freud... heard of him?

And, yes... get a grip on the bigger picture.. 2014 is 7/12th's completed.. or 7.5/12ths or 15/24ths... or 5/8ths complete..

Even if this happens to be an overall "down" year for bitcoin, so fucking what?

Sigmund Freud may have said it, but it was originally spoken by Mr. Carl Sagan.

2014 has been one hell of a bad year for bitcoin. It's going to be harder than ever now to convince my friends to invest in an asset that has been decreasing in value steadily for almost a year. I think at this point any potential investor who looks at a long term graph is thinking... "OK, where else can I put my money?"

Sorry guys I'm not trying to "troll" you all, but you've got to admit this shit looks bad.

Um, it only looks bad if you're looking at a really small timeframe?

Overall trend is buy the *** out of it now...go long. $12,000 peak next

Longer the price goes sideways the bigger the peak will be?  Have some heart!

8 months is a very long timeframe. Stop the nonsense about a really small timeframe.
Also there is no overall trend to buy the *** out of it. People are dumping. That's the overall trend.

He is right. It simply looks very bad. There is no way you can talk this right.
It isn't bullish. It isn't a great time to buy.
It's bad.

Why do these sellers want my overinflated fiat so bad?

because bitcoin is over-price even more

Short-term, where is this thing going to turn?  Your last three predictions have been very close to short-term bottoms...basically the price stopped falllling about 2% from where you thought it would, then shot up, at least temporarily.

We are going in the wrong direction here. I thought the past few years we've always seen an all time high but maybe this is the year to break the trend unless the mania takes hold again.

So we have signs indicating a possible fall in price, but nothing from graphs or from news that might cause a rise.

Seems like a sellish moment for me, or have nightmares about falllllling's predictions coming true all along your sleep.

It is true that you can make some money on these swings.. but no doubt not everyone chooses the right time to execute the trades properly and many are left burnt. If you ultimately believe in long term bullish direction you should just buy more on the way down on staggered limit orders...However its your money and never let anyone tell you what to do with Cheesy ( all the more reason to keep it as bitcon bahaha couldn't help but be a cult maniac)

I bought before the last bubble ramped up and somewhat on its way up..and I could've sold from 1200-900 and nearly make double so you can definitely find better times to make easy sells...I feel the local bottom is 500 but we shall see.

So, BFX + Huobi orderbooks are absolutely cleared on the bid side and also notably worse on the ask side.

Bitstamp bid sum is actually up, BUT still abysmal at just under 9mUSD.

There is very little recovery going on here. Another low within 24hrs would be a rare occurrence (lately the market always has a bulltrap), but I think it might happen, without the bull trap.

We may test the 555 again for a quadruple bottom, but there doesn't seem to be reinforcement readily lining up this time to buy.

I'm not going to lie, at first I could care less but it's been a steady decline for a few weeks now and it has me a bit worried.
