It will take it down $30 to $50 (into the $330-$340 range) and delay a rally. Not the end of the world. Certainly, it's premature to talk about $10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 valued Bitcoin given there are headwinds. Yea apparently people believe new consumers buy and retailers sell on exchanges like finex and huobi to save money on overstock... LOL Bitpay and Coinbase have never drove the prices. Stamp, huobi, finex, and other exchanges drive the prices. |

Has there ever been a documented sighting of this dump taking place anywhere ever in human history? |

Some. Remember how thin the order books are, too, in relation to the total number of BTCs held. Less than .1% of all Bitcoins being dumped by a retailer has a substantial impact on the price. Your argument isn't illogical, but it is incomplete. |

I would say the Bitcoin users are quite heterogeneous. Anecdote time: I use Bitcoin more and more and never gambled nor bought drugs (not that I oppose people doing any of those things). A lot of people are willing to support Bitcoin simply for ethical motives. We want sound money and are angry at the bloody Fiat fraud. The fact that it's also so powerful at being a means of exchange makes that adoption take off. This is from the simple user/traditional merchant perspective. Bitcoin serves a lot of purposes. |

So by your own logic is it not fair to say that the retailers probably aren't selling their coins into the open market and immediately after getting them. After all it has a substantial impact on price. |
