I sold everything. Hope to buy back cheaper, when this whole core / xt-thing blows over.

That's good news for all the hodlers. I've been dead wrong on almost all of my trades. Probably Greece will default on the 5th of june and a lot of Europeans will get out of € and into BTC skyrocketing BTC-euro value.

i hear ya a fork at such high price/marketcap is a big deal, i don't see people let millions of dollars in something that can go all wrong.

That was a retarded statement from Gavin. That sort of linux-type mudslinging doesn't work well with a currency. If you've listened to statements from the fed and seen how people react to it you understand that brain farts move markets. It's just irresponsible.

I have this gut feeling an event similar to these (below) will unfold. Upside trick to catch excited bulls. Bull trap?

mhh there is just soo much pressure downwards for Bitcoin atm...

I am just waiting for an early adopter to cut the ropes and make this fall to 200$. And once we at 200$ everybody is going to panic and wanting to get out above 200$...

There are currently 26,470,000 $ swaps in margin positions on BFX waiting for the price to go up to make profit. That's 115,100 BTC at current price. On top they are paying something between ~~ 12-18% annually interest for their swaps. Once we get to a critical price somewhere bellow 200$ we will start to see big margin calls to ignite the free fall.

On the other Hand there are only 24,100 BTC in margin positions for short. So the chance of a short squeeze is not really there.

If this goes to hell.... We will be there fast. We had a long accumulation phase at the price range of 220-300$. The Next big move should be a major one. And with not having a single trustworthy exchange with good volume beside BFX and all the problems with OKCoin I see BTC currently very overvalued...

Be careful with your Position currently. I am not going to buy any longs for Bitcoin... Too dangerous in my opinion. The Daily chart also indicates the next move is down.

Don't be the bagholder panic selling in the end...

You are brave. I don't know when or if the price will start upward again, but from my experience in the past, it can happen very quickly. In my case it can take me several weeks to transfer any significant amount of fiat to the exchange to transfer back into bitcoin. I hope that either you have much faster method of transfer, or if you're just leaving your money on account at the exchange, that your exchange of choice is more trustworthy than most.

Best of luck.

Actually, better discussion is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1074701.0

Also check out Gavin vs Peter Todd:

I'm hoping the fear, uncertainty, and doubt will keep the price in check for the rest of the summer... below 250 CAD would be ideal.

Thank you.

As I am in Europe I use Kraken. SEPA-transfer is pretty quick. I chose not to keep the € on Kraken tho, as this thing might take some time to play out. A transfer from Kraken to my bank-account is only € 0.09 and free from my account to Kraken, so better to not take any risk with these kinds of amounts.
