You don't need to report the price to us everyday.... lol

at least he's one of the few who actually talks about the daily price...which was the original point of this thread!

Yeah I like Jimbo's daily posts, I don't see the issue. He seems a nice guy & it's on topic so let him get on with it.

I prefer to read posts from him over trolling & fudsters.

Let me set the record straight about Mr. Jimbo Toronto, if that's even his real name.
He keeps house plants just to watch them whither and die. Imagine, a man who takes joy in that. Is that really the kind of man you want watching your children or posting price updates on your thread?
Adam, if you're listening, I want you to think about this for a minute. I mean _really_ think about it.

This is the only real thread left in the sub. Every other thread is completely fake and only exists because people get paid to post nonsense.

Well, any single-topic forum will get kind of same-y after half a decade of people discussing that one thing. That's why I only come here from time to time. Man, I think last time I was here was when I was talking about my pre-halving plan. That worked out OK, until I lost 40%-50% of my profit in the bitfinex hack. Everyone in reddit is like that ghost in Dead Space 2.

It's really insane to look back and think this crazy journey started a year and a half ago...
So, I'm confident saying that the market will soon recover from the Bitfinex hack. Getting back above $600 decisively might take one or two months that might feel like an eternity, but after that... It's back to recovering onto (and past) the ATH set in the 2013 MtGox bubble. Oh, boy. I'll be sure to be here to celebrate with you guys & gals.

I devoured everything, but I'm still hungry. I like bringing up that quote from time to time.

Heh heh. Thanks. "You win some, you lose some", in this case... both! I find it kind of funny. Like when you've just had a meal an you feel a lingering feeling of hunger for just one moment. Then you smile. Yeah, I was a bit angry that what I lost was replaced with an IOU that might be worthless soon. I'll just hodl on for dear life and hope for the best. My totes-legit-math-numberizer machine says this is a temporary setback. So I'm just going to sit back, relax... and see what happens.

Aren't most of your trades for like $30 to $40? I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Hehehe, yeah. Still, taking a loss in never feels good. Even if I'm still green from the last time I put money into bitcoin trading. But still, I think I've taken proper advantage of this opportunity. I think we're oversold at the moment.

LOL @ that. Cheesy

But they all know it's true!  Tongue

The price is solidly staying at just under $600. It does look like there is a wall at this price mark.
I have seen it go to $599 this morning then just to have it go "What a sec... we are not going pass $600! Shocked".
Just to have it slide back down $8  Roll Eyes
So frustrating to watch it live like that.

Why not?
We used to have chartbuddy here, price updates on a regular basis.

Jimbo's good morning is a nice mantra. I hope he keeps on greeting us every single day.

Umm... no. The restrictions didn't apply this time, and many have already left. The bid side is now about 10x smaller than before the "hack", the ask side about 8x smaller. So Buttfiness is irrelevant now...

Found this nugget:
Quote
Pantera Capital partner and chief technology officer Steven Waterhouse has departed the bitcoin and blockchain-focused venture capital firm.

Founded in 2013, Pantera is one of the ecosystem’s largest VC firms, boasting a portfolio that includes some of its biggest success stories, including 21 Inc.

Have you always been bearish, or are you talking your book?

I don't know how you can speak with such certainty regarding the price direction of this market... overall we still seem to be in a bull trend.

Sure we can experience some downwards price movements here and there, including the news of the bitfinex situation, but it also seems to that the bitfinex situation has largely been resolved and we are in a holding pattern at the moment..   Surely bitfinex may not do too well from this fall out, and maybe they are going to need to create some trading incentives, such as lowering fees.. but they have not even re-opened their margin trading yet, which actually could create some increases in volume, maybe?

From here?  Hm?  I am kind of a sense that a 10% increase is more likely than a 10% decrease.. in other words, I am more inclined to believe that we are going to see $650 and above before we see $520 and below.. but I am not going to bet either way and I guess I am prepared for either direction.
