we've got such good momentum at the minute, imagine the "peace rally" we would have should segwit be activated & the two sides nut out a compromise.

Hope to see another attempt to break the 800 on finex and stamp.
This is the first weekend where I really have the feeling we could go for that range.

On the other hand a drop back to 780 or below that for a few days before really trying to breakthrough the 800 level is possible as well.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still holding on to most of last night's little rise... $792USD at Bitcoinaverage.

Hopefully we'll keep trying to break $800 or should I say 5600CNY?

Is that you Jimbo?

The guy does not seem to be as impressed as you are with the BTC ATM's in Toronto.
Is there an ATM you can recommend (no KYC crap and reasonable fees)?

Exploring Bitcoin ATMs in Toronto

I can personally vouch for Toronto Gold on Bloor Street at Shaw. They are 100% anonymous and currently charge 5% on Bitcoin purchases. Unfortunately their Lamassu ATM doesn't accept sells. It also doesn't print, so bring your own paper wallet or mobile wallet app. Apparently the dude who runs the place will buy your coins for cash but I haven't looked into that, since I'm a buy-and-hold kind of guy.

If you want the lowest fees, Deloitte at Yonge and Adelaide only charges 1% on buys and sells, but you need identification and there's a daily limit of $100. That's great if you're a little short on cash and need a quick c-note.

Rates are always changing. The ATM at Metro Pharmacy near Skydome allows buys of up to $10k per day but they just raised their rates from 3.75% last week all the way up to 6.4%.

Hairy Tarantula Comics at Yonge and Elm looks promising... up to $3k per day at 3-5% while offering "deals on bulk transactions over 3k" but I haven't tried them yet, so I don't know if identification is required or not.

Unfortunately most of the 24 hour ATMs at places like Hasty Mart  are ridiculously expensive, often charging double digit fees.

Here's a great site to check out for yourself on what's available.

adamstgBit, I think you should create new poll and ask something like that:

Quote
Price Dec 31th 2016 will be:
 1. > 850
 2. 800
 3. 790
 4. 780
 5. 770
 6. 760

Cool. Just got home to see $793USD.

Hopefully this is the start of a fine weekend.
Yes but the current price is now $791 but it cool though since the price steadily increase from $787 and it does make some sense when people prediction year 2017 to be a smiley year for all bitcoiners.

A lot of us believe that Adam should update the poll, but he is having issues with getting back into his account, after it was hacked (apparently) in mid September.

Edit:  Oh... now it looks like the poll has been removed, or is it just me?

Yup, but not by Adam (Last Active: September 15, 2016) unfortunately.

He is an asset to this place and I think it is concerning for this forum he does not care enough to retrieve his account.

The poll in the link was started in 2014 and it hasn't been auto-removed. A mod must have removed this topic's poll.
