same. all my friends for the last 5 years have believe that they had "missed the boat."

what a shame.

edit: whoa  Shocked go bullstamp

I tried to convince my family and friends to invest in bitcoin since 2013. I've explained them throughout the years everything about the technology and its potential. What did they do instead ? They took bank loans and bought themselves expensive cars and spent their salaries on dumb worthless shit.

I was their god damn lottery ticket, the winning one, and they fucked it up. I never wanted to buy and hold the bitcoins for them, because ignorance should not be rewarded. I just wanted for them to follow the same path as mine, and to discover and appreciate the philosophical/economical and technological breakthroughs behind the Blockchain protocol.

Bitcoin has gone up by 10x and they still don't give a damn  Cheesy. Told them that we will be talking again after the next 10x.

Who has the balls here to bet on a $2000 double top and defend this position in this forum? Wink (Edit: Finex prices.)

(That doesn't mean $2000 cannot be passed in the future with better fundamental news. But perhaps it's too early and a sell-in-May scenario is more realistic.)

Very possible. The summer could be falling or dead. But that still leaves time for an epic winter

or maybe what we will see by the end of year will make the recent movement look like nothing

there is no mathematical equation to predict the price, so no price can be said to be in accordance with fundamentals

there are only the rules of supply and demand, but there is no way to know for sure the real demand and how many bitcoins exactly are in the supply

Cars? I prefer the kind you don't have to drive. Driving impairs drinking.

The Rolls has a better bar. Better upholstery too, and more spacious.

I also prefer a chauffeuse to a bot.

Porsche or ferrari? Cheesy
Porsche of course. Ferrari's are a real pain to work on.

But the bigger question is just how many can you fit in your driveway before you have to ask friends to park them in theirs....

Shit happens. Hell, I remember picking up class C swamp blocks and some domain names and letting them go because other people needed them to make the internet go and why should I hog them?

Eh, live and learn.

If we need a reason to feel bad, half a dozen alt coins went up 800%. And most of us missed out.

FYI I think this might be the best write-up of the alt situation so-far.

That said, I'm going to splurge a tiny bit. Top line tickets to the Belmont Stakes. Half a bitcoin can go places. Wonder if they take it at the track.

They should.....

I'm afraid you'll be back one day talking about the tickets you ended up paying $35,000 for.

Value and money are so relative. Back in 2013 I gave my friend 0.1BTC for three bottles of home-made syrup. So that's more than 60$ per bottle and the most expensive beverage I have ever purchased I guess. I don't care, it was a fair price at the time. Nice bonus that my friend hodled all the way!

Porsche or ferrari? Cheesy

Strangely enough, as high as bitcoin goes I still look for a reasonable car under $5k that will last a few years with low maintenance.

Though I spent more than that in the last week on a vacation.

i find the lack of choo choo memes as we are about to cross $2k really interesting.  Are we all so scarred from the past 3 years that we no longer have high expectations and are happy just to quietly enjoy the ride?  I ask because that is my current mindset - it really wouldn't bother me if we dropped $500 or shot up another $500.

$2k is just too big a milestone to risk jinxing with a choo choo.  Smiley
