It would be a better choice to convert profits into gold instead. 

Gold and silver is small amounts are good for a rainy day but I have gold in the form of Bitcoin on my phone and can spend it whenever I want! You can't eat Gold and you certainly can't send it anywhere in the world in minutes!

I'm having a hard time doing the selling high part of the buy low sell high thing.

chinese own most of all BTC  ... so "make them rich again"    or make them "use more petro-dollar again"   .. thats why is price soo pumped high .. I cant see other meaningful sense or increased using BTC ..

Totally agree with you! Compared to bitcoin, gold has a lot of disadvantages. There's theoretically an infinite supply, and even the limited supply available on the planet to be mined is a big unknown. The max bitcoin supply on the other hand, is known to everyone.

Yes, this seems so easy when you are staring at the price just slightly above what you paid, but when it goes 2X or 3X it seems like it will never stop going up until it doesn't.

I lost quite a bit in value in Feb 2014 by waiting for the price to go back up from the dip, and when it did go up in May 2014 I failed to sell again....

The main thing to do is sell to get your initial investment back if you think you will regret not selling the peak at least you will be in the black.

japan businesses recently adopted bitcoin as a payment, this and korea have been causing the increase

war is always coming - nothing new here
