Lefties are weak and they know it so they want to rely on someone to care for them. Righties are strong and they know, instinctively, that they are strong, so they want to compete.
So strong in fact, that they have to rely on a White House ban of the use of dangerous words like "science-based" and "transgender", lest their tender ears be shocked to bits by their use by scientists in the public sphere.
Lefties are the ones who want to ban words. Like male and female, he and her, and such. They are literally at war with physical reality. Because they have the minds of small children and think their feelings define reality.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

If it goes back into the previous range at this point I dont think it'll be a dip - I think it would pretty bad. In any case I'd rather get 18k and miss out on 25k, than get 5k and miss out on 18k. Ive seen enough of these gains already. im tired of them.

That would be a good reasoning/bet.... IF there were the same probabilities for the price to go to $25K than to go to $5K.
Those arent the only factors. Also in order for me to lose there has to be the bizzare scenario of the stop getting hit and the price going to 18K yet bouncing right back up to 25k as if that major breach did not occur.

Yeah, maybe you are right.... OTH IF it consistently breaks $20K... maybe $25K won't be nowhere near the top of this wave.

Also there is a fucking lot of profits in the alts already... a good part of those may be waiting for Bitcoin to dip/correct to get on the train so the $5K scenario doesn't seem much likely. There's too many fuel for the rally to continue even though it would seem it has been a long one.

Decisions, decisions.... I think I will just do nothing and let it run....

Bitcoin doesn't dip anymore  Cry

Think of a tsunami that ironically sucks the water all the way out first.

TERA every post you make reeks of some kind of bitterness? How many bitcoin's have you got? I’m going to guess less than 10 & you’re upset/angry/depressed about having the opportunity to be rich AF as you were in & around bitcoin early enough but sadly made the wrong decisions, sold early etc.

HODLERS who make shit loads of money don’t need to sell/trade constantly.

What’s your situation?
I'm so sick of this ignorant crap people post on trader forums. The things I say have nothing to do with my position or with emotion. It is simply the inevitable dynamic of an exponential market. Its a piece of physics like a rubber band or a ball bouncing. This is compeltely detached from me.

Theres GOING to be a crash of at least 60% at some point. I never called from where but it's going to happen, and it's going to be a spectacular trading opportunity. You can thank for me letting you in on it, if it only means you have more fiat on exchanges ready to buy it. If you deny this then you have no experience in bitcoin.

You’re assuming bitcoin will follow trends common in normal markets. The Gox debacle was totally different to what is happening now. Nobody knows what is going to happen now.

I say HODL until after the next halvening, it’s the only safe method in bitcoin.

Time = constant growth & price increase in bitcoin.

Trading this beast is VERY dangerous. Good luck to shorters.

Gox may have been a catalyst for the crashes but without gox there would have simply been another catalyst. At some point the traders decide to take profits.

There should be a rule banning people from inquiring about others trading positions in relation to their comments. It is so old, invalid, pointless, and distracting.

TERA, why do you get so triggered when people talk trash about you & your positions? I mean we are in the irrational exuberance phase of an exponential run-up of the biggest bull market in history - what do you expect? People are going to get emotional about claims of crashes and corrections. They will think you a traitor. Why waste your time? Especially if you're going to be upset about it (as it seems to me from your posts)

For what it's worth I agree with your assessment: there will be a big correction eventually. But when? I have no idea. I tried shorting a bit around 10K but look how that worked out. I think I'll stick to mostly hodling.

I was just at the last straw with the stupid comments about asking someone about their position which I see hundreds of times per day. It was even stupider because I'd already indicated my position. And it's stupid to take everything I say about simple market dynamics and call it bearish, especially since I havent even so much as picked a date or a level to make a call. Finally it seems everyone just cherry picks certain statements to bother me about but completely ignores whenever I make an equal amount of bullish statements or a good call they could have profited from.

For this to ‘end’ it requires central banks worldwide to address their issues.

They’ve avoided doing so until now via suppression of gold etc  but the day of reckoning may have come. My view is they’ll not be up to the task.

i more or less agree (well except for being tired of gains heh). cash out enough at this price (~18-20k USD) to coast through the next few years in style. at that point if btc is the same(ish) or higher do it again. because by then, if its still around it should be firmly entrenched and most likely MUCH higher. if its a bust, well then i got some good profits before it all took a face plant.

plus, you know, cool stories . damn what a ride. kinda cool watching people become millionaires before your eyes.

If you want to talk to a bear go to talk to roach, or proudhon. Talk to someone who called single digits. Dont talk to someone who calls short term corrections or a 2 year sideways movement followed by a rally to $20K.

I officially declare myself more amazed than in nov. 2013

it was a 10fold rise in one month back then, but there are circumstances that make the present run-up even more special for me.

Gox may have been a catalyst for the crashes but without gox there would have simply been another catalyst. At some point the traders decide to take profits.

The thing I remember about Gox towards the end is that there was an insane upward trend proportional to the difficulties getting fiat out of the exchange. The less chance of getting a wire out of there, the higher it went. I don't know if that's relevant today, still, doesn't hurt to be cautions about exchanges suffering from problems, either by load from users, DDOS or otherwise.

I read someone claimed there were 50k new user registrations per day at Bitstamp (or was it Kraken?), imagine the workload to verify these users when they want to withdraw, how will that affect withdrawals in general?
