What to think of these wallet ?
This screams attack vectors to me, I'd definitely wait before storing any nominal amount on them.

What to think of these wallet ?

if we were in 2013 I would have say "preorder scam with a good marketing"  Grin

What do you say 15-May-2019 ?

be very carefull with every new hardware wallet on the market!

paperwallets with non-compromized random key generator (at time of creation) and Trezor or Ledger are the way to secure your funds (IMHO).

Man, I just cannot get into the hard wallets..

a. the best and brightest individuals design these devices
b. man is flawed and ALWAYS looking to benefit for himself.  we are not "hive" minded by default.

a + b = untrustable deliverables.   I just do not think there is any way you can be 100% assured that the device will not send your private information on to another device or the "network" at its earliest opportunity.   I have just seen too many con jobs from too many "trusted" and "honest" folk.

Note:  I have seen easter eggs make it into software that was peer reviewed and verified.   You would have to work hard to convince me to put my savings on an electronic device.     I know.. I purchase crypto with the internet and PC wallets... but I get my stuff to paper the first chance I get.   I find the challenges of keeping paper from flood and fire much less stressful than the alternatives.
and what makes you so certain that whatever generated those private keys on those paper wallets isn't compromised?

I'm a fucking idiot and bought a paperwallet from a Swiss company and put 3 btc on it.

Those 3btc sat on it through the bull run and down to the mid 6k range until I redeemed it.

Sometimes people aren't shit and sometimes things aren't compromised. I trust my coins on my Trezor and ledger though.

WO!! Attention! Be careful

ZombieLoad: Cross Privilege-Boundary Data Leakage

Affected software:
  • So far all versions of all operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux, MacOS, BSDs, …)
  • All hypervisors (VMWare, Microsoft HyperV, KVM, Xen, Virtualbox, …)
  • All container solutions (Docker, LXC, OpenVZ, …)
  • Code that uses secure SGX enclaves in order to protect critical data.

EDIT:
CVE-2019-0708 | Remote Desktop Services Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could execute arbitrary code on the target system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights

An OG with 50k coins will have more power than most countries do now.
~150 of them will have half the world's wealth.
By far the most people will not have any money at all.
Bitcoin will bring about a new feudal technocracy.
But first, complete chaos.

That very well may be, but how exactly would you exert that wealth without spending precious bitcoin and thereby, reducing your bitcoin stash?
Bitcoin lending? Why would some lend a deflationary asset? Borrowing cash against your btc stash? That can turn ugly at 80% drawdown.
Bitcoin interest-a ridiculous idea that is not even practical without someone rehypothicating bitcoin, which should be a bad habit.
I am close to 100% certain that blockFi will kick the bucket at one point or another.
You could do lending  crypto to crypto with a smart contract with assets put on the line as collateral but of course this would need to be all cleared by the government as binding before anyone would risk it.

Yes, my point is that you cannot do anything without spending or somehow lending it out, so OGs will have difficulty influencing much, unless some secondary markets develop.
The disinflation won't go on for ever and things will level out.
Then they will spend, lend and give out. They will invest in businessmen's projects for equity and or profit share.
