The media manipulation throughout this whole thing has been ridiculous. What ever happened to "you can't shout 'fire' in a crowded theater"?

What will be the way forward to stop this crap? How do we decentralize the media and encourage truth instead of hype?

In what way do you think media should be telling "the truth instead of hype"?

Most I see being published are hard numbers of infections, deaths, ICU occupation levels, morgues being made from repurposed ice rinks, etc etc...

Do you think it would be better to censorship media? How would that be decentralisation?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I took all my strength together and had a look at the chart ($6670 quasi sideways).
In hourly, 10&50 SMA are cuddling, while 200 SMA will likely cross the price within the next two days, if the trend continues.
Hopefully that will bounce, if enough traders still trade lower timeframe TA.

I favour another good punch down (up to 10-20%), followed by an immediate recovery. That would be the signal for the long and steady multi year rally.

Hearing those BRRRs already  Grin

Hmmm, would be nice to catch such a dip, most time they happen when i'm asleep or busy afk. Especially now, as kids are home-schooling since two weeks.

EDIT: I could still transfer some fiat to an exchange from time to time and set some buy limits, but i don't like to keep money/coins on an exchange for longer time.

"At it's height, COVID-19 infected .006% of the Chinese population.  And it had a big head start before draconian prevention measures were put into place.  It may have been spreading for months before anyone knew it existed.

.006% of the US population is 21,000."

 Roll Eyes
Quoting for around 3/27. Feel like making a bet on how things will develop?

I would be willing to bet you by 3/27 that Covbull deaths have not reached 90k which is about what worldometer has for the flu deaths so far this year.

Giving covbull 2 weeks to catch up should be childs play if its really all that deadly and infectious with no vaccine.

The cited number was 21k. It should be about there. And if it does, then it will be over 100k a few weeks later.

Well then...

Don't try to argue numbers with Lambie. He just don't want to hear... He is continuously comparing snake bites deaths with coronavirus ones... while ignoring that the real figure of deaths by snake bite in USA is whoooping LESS THAN A DOZEN A *YEAR*.

Nuff said.

Edited that while you were answering it, i guess.
Sure, limit, but don't want to keep money on an exchange longer as needed.
I prefer to buy via national brokers.

I'll just leave this epic rant about the $2T (*cough* $14T *cough*) bailout bill here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-7uro3A3qU

People often say, well what can the Average Joe do about it? March? Riot? Revolution?

Bitcoin was *literally* created for this reason. It IS the red pill. It IS the Revolution.

#BUYBTC and stop participating in the corrupt fiat monetary system.

Spot on. But I expected the BTC price to have responded by now. So strange that there is still confidence in USD (or any fiat) after the recent creation of a squillion, gazillion USD out of thin air.

#only21million - yet not reflected in the current price.

I can only conclude that very, very few people understand that BTC has a finite supply that cannot be altered. I suspect this is true even of a majority of investors (and this is somewhat substantiated by acquaintances who bought in during the late-2017 hype. They knew nothing of the tech but simply had a huge dose of FOMO).

We just haven't gotten our $1200 TrumpBucks yet. I'm wondering if the Bitcoin ATM down the street is going to have any space for the money to go. That's my concern.

(Note: Oddly enough I have never bought a bitpenny in my life. Aside from the stuff I bought back from the kids after paying them in btc for chores I've earned every satoshi the old fashioned way. Since this money is not something I really want I think it's ok for me to buy bitcoin with it out of spite)

"Long as I can see the light"  (starts at 5:08) the best of the three, IMO.

God damn.... the old geezer almost made me choke up. (then again, I've had a couple of beers and a shot)
