If they did that, they would have created Yet Another Alt Coin (which happens very frequently), and it would have no effect on Bitcoin at all.
Yes, I know that bitcoiners have taken solace in that belief, since the 51% risk became real. Keep believing. There is no belief involved. What constitutes Bitcoin is defined by the consensus of the miners - period. If a majority of miners were to choose to mine according to a different protocol than what they currently do, that protocol will effectively become Bitcoin. It has nothing to do with what Gavin or the foundation want.

I'm starting to think the Four Punch Raiders may have lost control of this market. They need to remember the Hustler's Axiom:
You can sheer a sheep many times, but you can skin him only once.
I ain't buyin' another goddam coin to assist in the short squeeze but I'll short like hell after the pop. BUT this time there may not be a short squeeze. I think there is a real possibility that there will be another drop and the FPRs will get long squeezed themselves.
I thought you were buying even if it fell to $10? I'm long now, but I'm not buying more until the four punch raids stop. This last one was too big. For now I am content with my stash and making money front-running these assholes. To be honest, I simply can't afford to put any additional money at risk.

I know a couple of large miners that are having a real hard time now, unfortunately not only them but many miners are having the "talk" about if they continue mining and cover the lost from their own pockets, or simply shutdown their operations and sell the BTC they are hoarding in case of the price falls further.
I am also curious if Chinese manufacturers will continue inflating the market with their hardware, and at what point it will become unprofitable for them to continue the production.

What's the most bullish thing imaginable? I would like some brainstorming please.
Greece. Not wishing for it though. Huh? Why? Cause it's going to cause misery and strife for a whole lot of people. I support Bitcoin because I'm hoping we can move away from the systems that cause that kind of thing.

Could just be a few million panicked Bitcoiners on F5 not believing their eyes at the moment. Bitcointalk was under attack yesterday... Bitstamp hacked... Millions of USD just to push down the price of bitcoin. Yeah, it´s all coincidence.

10.000 millons without banks and governments it´s tiny?
10'000 millions where? Don't extrapolate from tiny exchange volume to the whole market capitalization. That is just plain wrong. Bitcoin is worth a few millions at best. Why should a bank attack bitcoin? Bitcoin needs fiat as long as it is not properly distributed, otherwise nobody can buy bitcoin (or do you accept apples for bitcoin?). Bitcoin has enough problems by itself (scamchanges, scamwallets, hardfork, Transaction Limit, hardfork, centralized mining...)

I dont agree with your personal beliefs, so ill call you names and publicly judge you and passive aggressively impose my own world view on you
Yeah, just believe in jesus. He will give you a meal an warm you during the winter. All hail jesus, the fucker of young boys. This comment is just ignorant and shows lack of knowledge about what you are so adamantly against. Im sure you form most of your opinions based on elementary research, and yt videos based on what you just said. Whatevs And you on the bible? Some relevant stuff from the bible. "The king" is in current era the same as the group of government persons: (Samuel 8 ) "10 Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle[c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”" Except, bad prediction, the slaves do not cry out for relief, they cry "More, more, hit me more"!

I see a lot of other cryptos being developed that offer exciting possibilities for managing data and assets, but none of them are a safe store of value. They all rely on trusting human input. Only Proof of Work can serve this task transparently. Bitcoin is still a vital technology.
