so you think this time you will break 210? you tried a couple of times...yesterday you did break 215 (for a second or so)

anyway...do people really care about bitstamp numbers? 1 month ago the exact same persons talked about bitstamp like they would not even use it if their life depends on it...personally i dont even have a bitstamp charts window open anymore

People are moving their coins out of China due to the risk that all Hongkong/Chinese exchanges (Huoibi, Bitfinex...) will get shutdown.

A guy claiming to be the Silk Road 2.0 programmer is offering their database for sale:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=952177

The guy may well be a scammer, of course.  One interesting detail is that he claims to have "usernames and
hashed passwords of 476,122 users, 51,490 deposit addresses, 7,756 plaintext passwords, 13,280 product listings, 52,481 private messages, 145,493 transaction records".  If true, those numbers may help estimate the number of bitcoin users.

How would he have more than 3 times as many users as transactions?  Is it plausible that 2 out of every 3 people who registered at the site did not order anything from it?

It's not correct. Hong Kong is a special administration district of China.

you know that hong kong is not china?

It has some political and economic autonomy, but I believe it is now fully part of China, right?

sure. there must be a lot of ppl who just wanted to take a look and others who wanted to order something but didn't because of [insert your favourite reason].
edit: others might have lost their account and just registered a new one without ordering...

why are you posting (maybe) scam in here? and how would scam numbers be helpful in any way? like the mycoin numbers that are totally useless
why would somebody post that in a bitcoin trollboard and not in the darknet?

could you please use your education for something more useful?

..."The government should not just stand aside," Leung told reporters. "It's simply not enough to just ask people to exercise caution when investing ... it has to ban the circulation of such virtual currency in the market.""

And the man you love, he hurts you all the time
When things go wrong, go wrong with you
It hurts me too.

Seller is buying his own asks in huge single chunks (1000&600BTC) in order to encourage at least a few idiots investors to throw their money in before we go down.  Undecided

Rise up this mornin'
Smiled with the risin' sun
Three little birds
Perch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Sayin'
This is my message to you-hoo-hoou:

Singin'
  Don't worry 'bout a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be alright
