The Justice Department is ordering bank employees to consider calling the cops on customers who withdraw $5,000 dollars or more, a chilling example of how the war on cash is intensifying.

Is this for real?  Shocked Shocked Shocked

http://www.infowars.com/feds-urge-banks-to-call-cops-on-customers-who-withdraw-5000-or-more/

What are they expected to charge them with, receiving funds from sold bitcoins? I didn't know it was a crime to sell your bitcoins. Having your account closed is bad enough without being arrested too.

Nothing. The purpose is to scare.

They routinely seize your funds, however.

is it possible to open a long and a short at the same time on bitfinex?
my understanding is that if you are into schlongs, you need multiple accts.
Haha, shorts + longs together = schlongs!

i love the D& D reference, it is the most fun I've seen lately. I still don't know what they placed in his burger: jalopenos? or just went on with mustard and ketchup?

Ha, they were Thai chiles I think. The little ones. They're hotter than Habaneros. Little buggers pack a punch.

"As such, the representative added that the service will not be available initially for users in the US."

No Pump For You!

A one way channel to a poker room (via bitpay) wasn't grounds for a pump any way you slice it.

Need some moonshaking news to turn today around.

pretty much anything financial is listed as being for basically everywhere but the u.s.

Then why is this on coindesk? "Survey: 9% of Americans 'Puzzled' by Bitcoin Logo." I'm also not sure how 504 people equals 9 percent of America, dumbass article anyhow.

Bitcoin prices will turn around when the page count of this thread reaches 12345

12345 ? hmmm ? someone rang ? yes ? will see how soon we can get there ... only 343 pages to go ...

also ... shows how good most bitcoiners are at math / how bullshit coindesk is for posting that survey ... first , 9% of those 504 people surveyed (45or46 people) is very different from 504 people = 9% of america ... just ... wow ... also , having an understanding of the concept of statistical significance , 504 people is way too small a subset to assure any measure of statistical accuracy in a population of 300,000,000+ ... they should have surveyed a minimum of 10,000-20,000 people across all 50 states to smooth out statistical differences in local populations and reach a number that approaches validity ... (presumably , they got the %s they wanted for the article , then stopped surveying , rather than attempt to actually get accurate #s)
