They're half right. Infrastructure has helped by giving people somewhere to spend coins. The bear market has given them a reasons to spend it. That is, the bear market wasn't caused by increased real-world spending, it helped prompt it (think why governments reduce interest rates/increase inflation - same principle). Seems self-evident. When the buying power of money keeps dropping, the most prudent thing to do is spend. Yes. But neither IBT nor CT seem to realise this.

It's a fluff piece, blatant native advertising. But I agree that low prices are good. "As low as possible for as long as possible"

Good morning Bitcoinland. 5 days of sideways in the $220s now. Low volume. Will we have to wait until Monday to see any real movement? _______ Meanwhile, I just checked the recently resurrected Cavirtex to see what's happening there. The order book is almost nonexistent, especially bids. Pity, it used to be a functional exchange. Maybe with time it will be one again some day. Just placed a bid for a couple of coins at a penny apiece to use up my old fiat balance. C'mon bears, where are those cheap coins you promised.

1. Go to your "Watchlist". 2. Then go to "Edit watchlist". 3. Select a thread you don't want anymore. 4. Click button "Remove checked".

Suddenly Coinbase is bigger than Finex and Bitstamp I remember some weeks ago they had really low volume No. Since they started charging fees they have lower volume than Bitstamp. Coinbase ask side (and bid if we take out that wall) is still very thin. Don't know why would anyone wire 1mil$ to the exchange with such low liquidity. If I was sending $1m anywhere, I'd want it to be somewhere with at least a degree of regulation and in my home country, not somewhere like Stamp of Finex that might run into problems of some sort. Why don't more people understand this? Between the current players, Coinbase is destined to end up as the leading exchange.

If that's what you mean by cheap coins, you'll have to wait a year, maybe more. LOL Probably a lot more. Last time it was a penny was on Oct. 8, 2010, four and a half years ago. My, how time flies.

Cointelegraph and Cryptocoinsnews are like the "Captain Obvious" of the Bitcoin world. They print so called 'breaking news' that is easily found elsewhere, sometimes days before. And every time the price swings or is trending they quickly print a 'trend prediction report' that's so laughably bad and obvious, and always has the disclaimer at the end of "We think the price should swing [up/down/sideways/take your pick], but we don't know for sure and could go the either way." What a joke. Lol

A year or two of two-digit price would keep the difficulty low or at least not growing. A one digit price would constraint it even more. But would we profit from it?

We are in 2015, not in the start of 2013. And near a new halving double or single digits are not feasible anymore. If going to happens, them there would not be any mining anymore

We are in 2015, not in the start of 2013. And near a new halving double or single digits are not feasible anymore. If going to happens, them there would not be any mining anymore All the less profitable miners would be squeezed out, difficulty would readjust and only a bunch of chinese megaminers would remain to mine and dump. This would centralize bitcoin mining even more than now, but this is actually good for bitcoin™
