Quoting myself from another thread: -I was trying to buy something online (costing just 2-3$) with my greek visa, and the charge was getting rejected. -Gas stations take only cash. -Suppliers of stuff, take only cash as they are afraid of the consequences of accepting digital payments, and with that I include bank payments (they are afraid they will not be able to withdraw it, or their money could be bailed-in / converted to drachma etc etc).
There is in a sense a fungibility issue with the euro in Greece right now. Digital euros / bank euros "suck" as they are useless to transact. Cash euro is what counts for most people, even companies.
Times like these, you *realize*, not theoretically, but by living it, that you wouldn't trade your crypto for fiat and that crypto is immensely more useful (ie you can actually transact, when with digital cash / banks / cards etc you can't).
The sense of value increases in a way that is unexpected: I wouldn't trade a single BTC even if I was offered >1000 euro in the bank in these conditions. The euros in the bank are useless.
Just curious, if I were to fly down to Greece in this environment to capitalize on the market would it be better to bring Euros down to buy bitcoins for cash or would it be better to sell bitcoins for euros? My advice if you wanted to sell BTC in Greece for cash now , would be take a few ex special forces bods with you, and some very very large bags, source some guns, and try not to piss off the local mafioso and thugs that would want to help relive you of your cash. Remember on small islands there is only so far you can run, and news travels quick. "Don't talk to strangers, unless it is sanctioned by the bank"

A few more breakouts and I'll be posting bull FUD and train pics myself
Bull FUD? Isn't that an oxymoron? Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt are bear characteristics. Bulls espouse optimism, confidence and trust. Bullishness could only be considered FUD if it inspires fear that Bitcoin will not fail, uncertainty as to it becoming worthless, and doubt that betting against it is somehow wise.

You quoting my posts doesn't make me feel so bad. Let's play this game: why are the stupid greeks standing in line to take their euros and not bitcoin?
who cares about greek people? let their government worry about what they want. it's the market thing.
careful what you wish for you greek! it's not like you are starting the world revolution rather being kicked out from the club.
yes, because you are the smartass type of greek: the one who bought bitcoin in 500 + $ range and now praying for a total financial collapse of his country.
That's 4 out of 3 for my ignore list Tarmi. I'm very sorry for you. I'll miss your intelligent posts. Bye bye.

Does this look familiar to anyone? All charts today. June 27, 2015 Been going since the LTC rise. LTC/USD Target Price Low $2.80 - High $3.00 Market exuberance pushed the pendulum between $2.60 - $3.20. LTC/BTC Target Price Low 0.0118 - High 0.012 Market exuberance pushed the pendulum between 0.0110 - 0.0125. BTC/USD Target Price Low $240 - High $250 Market exuberance pushed the pendulum between $240 - $255. We have fewer who may be participating in the BTC market vs LTC. Leaving those who can influence the LTC/USD LTC/BTC price free reign. How long until we have a repeat from earlier this year... LTC/BTC down - BTC/USD up. I would love to know what the ltc/btc target is. I see we just broke .013+ on various exchanges. Maybe it's a .015 target, then you see a large ltc/usd correction with profits re-invested back into btc/usd and that makes us break 265? Didn't expect such sharp moves, was expecting things to be a little bit more gradual...

finex is hilarious! placing margin sells for ltc but they are not working. no wonder the price is so high when you are unable to sell.

Once we breach $260 in a few hours (minutes), $300 is right around the corner.
Once we breach $260 I figure we'll probably bounce back down to the high $250s and go sideways for another week or so in the $260 range before starting to move up again. Edit: The sox seem to be getting desperate with their attempts to clog the forum with shockpornspam. A moderator's work is never done. Bring back newbie jail, please.

We'll be over $310 and then drop back to sub-300. To somewhere between $260 and $280. Then we'll be moving sideways again.
