That 700 BTC market sell just now on Stamp had zero effect on price. Looks like resilience, should only go up from here.

Wow, I did not expect Bitcoin to have a big move up today.

Didn't you ? I'm surprised that you are surprised, tbh.

In addition to my surprise at your being surprised I am, in addition, rather surprised that the price hasn't risen more, given the imminent threat to the Euro that is playing out in front of our eyes.

Investors are stoic until a minute before midnight, then they are crazed and foaming at the mouth.

The Finex chart looks like some profit taker got tired of waiting for his asks to be filled and did a market sell.

As for the Stamp chart, it looks like either a graphing glitch or an "oops wrong exchange" moment. Talk about a very short-lived fake wall.  Smiley

Saw that.  For some reason I really enjoy it when those that are trying to dump do not succeed.   Grin

I thought the driving force behind Litecoin was SHA256 FPGAs and ASICs.

GPU miners needed somewhere to go and Litecoin's Scrypt offered them a chance (for a while) to keep mining. It was simply the main Scrypt altcoin.

Some BTC holders believe that moving into LTC will yield greater profits, due to the upcoming LTC halving, which is quite possible.
A lot of BTC will be eventually be sold to realize the LTC profits. Also, the LTC pump drains fiat that would be used for BTC pumping.
There is a weak correlation between the prices, works short term, but long term this is bearish for BTC.
