if you think you can apply normal rules from other venues like forex and stocks here you are going to get burned badly.
It's amazing how many people can't seem to grasp that simple fact. That's the main reason I take traditional Technical Analysis with a grain of salt regarding Bitcoin.

More people buying than selling. Probably betting that Grexit will push the price up...

That little bounce down under $266 obviously wasn't the awaited correction/profit-taking I was expecting. It's already on its way back up.
Let's see how far this goes.

There's not a specific reason. Some say it's due to the Greeks buying Bitcoin (that's doubtful). I would think it's others taking example from the Greeks and taking out some of their fiat and investing it into Gold or Bitcoin.

I would think it's others taking example from the Greeks and taking out some of their fiat and investing it into Gold or Bitcoin. But Gold is down from a week ago.. I think people are speculating that last time when Cyprus went crazy, the bitcoin price went up quickly. People don't want to miss the boat, so are getting involved early this time, moving the price. Some whale might well decide that now is a good time to dump, I hope not though, the price is so low still, I am considering buying more...

This is a completely normal level of volatility for bitcoin. It we go over $300 THEN it will get really nuts...

I can see some of it coming from Greece.
Coinbase has an exchange in Greece. People in Greece can only make SEPA transfers within Greece. So if you have a bunch of money in your bank that you can't get out...send it to Coinbase to buy bitcoins before the banks seize it.

Hyperbolic title but hey, can't hurt! Some big entity should really put bitcoin atm's in all major cities and islands. How stupid is this idea?!? Do you think someone who has EUR 60 daily limit on the ATM will waste their precious EUR on Bitcoin? They have many other more necessary things to buy with that money. ATM's are running low on fiat. Buy 1000 euro worth of bitcoins online, go exchange bitcoins for fiat at bitcoin atm. Doesn't seem that stupid "?!?" You are telling me that the whole Greek banking infrastructure can't fill ATMs for more then 60 EUR/person a day, but some new private entity will succeed filling Bitcoin ATMs with more cash? that makes sense to you?
