Gemini launched, and the price didn't tank, actually nothing really happened to the price because of Gemini recently, unlike the Coinbase launch. Good deal, let's continue a steady uptrend through the halving!

Gemini appeals to what i call the "cautious adventurer". The 'adventurer" market for bitcoin is quite small as so many people do not know about or are unsure what is going to happen with it so only a small % (adventurers) will be intersted in buying at all. Then we come to the exchanges - the existing will have accommodated most of the adventurers if they had really wanted bitcoins. Gemini though would have appealed to the cautious as it has the normal bank "protections" but they would still are just a subset of the adventurer market not a new market. So it was not expected there would be queues to get involved especially since bitcoin has since the beginning of the year been in a $200-$300 range. So if it went to $200 soon and they bought in at $240 (current price) they could easily have lost $40 (16%) on every bitcoin. And if they were thinking their 'rushing' to buy might put pressure on the price (and that is possible) they would be even more reluctant to act.

... Gemini appeals to what i call the "cautious adventurer"... Gemini... Not a native English speaker, but know how you guys turn nouns into verbs? Trend(n)->trend(v); parent(n)->parent(v), that sort of thing? And even adjectives (yellow(adj)->yellow(v))? Now I was thinking "Gemini limps into obscurity," but not in "walking with a limp" sense (though "lame" is a bit closer, maybe "laming"?), more like the verb form of "flaccid" kind of limping. Are you picturing it? Like flacciding but that just sounds all wrong. Can anyone help?

I'd like to commission an NLC original prose poem or short story. I suggest themes of transhumanism and deep spiritual loss. I'm prepared to pay in a series of microtransactions.

Gemini's low trading volume could also be due to the lag in wire transfers. Give it a week and we will find out.

I was a little bit unclear from the website concerning the money options on Gemini - concerning how much it costs to transfer money to the account, what are the available options and how long these various available options take to fund the account. If anyone can enlighten on that point or have references to some easy and informative links, that would possibly help many of us to understand Gemini a little bit better.

they need to verify people's ID too before they can trade, I think it will have more impact than the lag of wire transfer

5 hours since last trade on gemini Don't worry, the hiding institutional investors will pop out any second now to buy up something that is easily replaceable and has a negative reputation.
