The ticker I'm looking at isn't even close to $273.. I'm getting ~$269 or so. Is that what everyone else has? I'm always confused as to which site is the best to gauge the actual price for bitcoin.
The price of BTC is what you are willing to pay for it... Or sell it for.

I read something about a vast Russian MMM ponzi currently operating in South Africa buying up Bitcoins. Any news? Bobby Lee, CEO of Chinese exchange BTCC, told CoinDesk his platform has seen a significant volume increase, though he dismissed much of his competitors' volume as "artificial".
Those behind the volume, he said, are not traders but consumers sucked into a Russian ponzi scheme, MMM.
"We have posted warnings on our site and on our social media to warn users to be careful, but they have been coming to our exchange and buying out like crazy," he said, adding:
"This time it's not speculative trading but based on them getting sucked into this ecosystem." https://twitter.com/YourBTCC/status/654273706013798401?lang=en"South Africa" must include a many of the poorest and least educated people there. Ah, bitcoin -- bringing First World financial ruin to the unbanked in the Third World... May you all go broke, and burn in hell... It's a scammer scamming people. The fact he uses bitcoin is sort of beyond the point. In fact, it makes the victims bitcoiners, which should please you since you feel the should "all go broke, and burn in hell...". If you want to throw a hissy fit you can have a look at this: http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2015/03/27/the-end-of-brazilian-growth/"Corruption scandals are now as popular a news story in Brazil as Zayne Malik leaving One Direction. There is a new corruption scandal or arrest due to a corruption case almost every week. The latest one involves the tax appeals board, which will further stifle investment and sentiment."

Chartbuddy. Everything else is just a pale 2-dimensional imitation. However, for those agonising 59 minutes between posts, I also use Tradeblock (not a huge fan, to be honest) and Coinut's index (useful for trading on Coinut, but changes way too frequently for my liking). And I usually keep several Bitcoinwisdom tabs open. I believe many people use preev.com, but that includes OTC trades from Localbitcoins which tends to create wild swings.

Pretty sure it already stopped unless there's a double top. Five weeks is a good run, but bitcoin needs to take a breather before resuming the climb. of course I've been wrong before.

where can I buy instant BTC?
without a verified account, you're SOL. Your only bet with banks closed is LocalBitcoins and be prepared to pay a hefty premium. You can buy me a gift card on purse.io with a credit card, but again, you'll pay ~ 20-25% over spot. You gotta plan ahead for these things. Or www.paxful.com

Double top with lower high? Small short here? Don't thinks so. the second top has to have higher volume than the first.

$271.1 at Bitstamp. This was certainly not expected by me. This is great as long as Bitcoin does not lose this value it has gained soon (or ever). Interesting times are certainly ahead of us (finally after a long period). Now if only Gemini would attract the clients that they are seeking.

This is weird. I'm actually making money. I'm scared. Now if only Gemini would attract the clients that they are seeking.
This rise should help them gain some traction. Looks like the timing for the launch was right at least.
