Double top with lower high? Small short here?  Cheesy
Don't thinks so. the second top has to have higher volume than the first.

good one. sounds quite plausible and would explain the gap between cny and usd exchanges.

If it is, then it's 2013 all over again?

Wouldn't be unlikely to happen. However I hope we are climbing steadily and not like greyhounds chasing a rabbit.
But it's a really good to see upward movements. Smiley

$271.1 at Bitstamp. This was certainly not expected by me. This is great as long as Bitcoin does not lose this value it has gained soon (or ever). Interesting times are certainly ahead of us (finally after a long period).
Now if only Gemini would attract the clients that they are seeking.

This is weird. I'm actually making money. I'm scared.

This rise should help them gain some traction. Looks like the timing for the launch was right at least.

The ticker I'm looking at isn't even close to $273.. I'm getting ~$269 or so.  Is that what everyone else has? I'm always confused as to which site is the best to gauge the actual price for bitcoin.

Generally, unless there is something weird going on at Stamp, I think that a lot of the forum discussions refer to the bitstamp price (as the default reference price point) unless specified otherwise.

whats going on!!!!??? I thought the whale was supposed to hold the price down until after the marshals auction???

had some buy offers in at $240.... fkkkk

same here, about a month ago or so i wanted to buy 2 bitcoin, I bought one at €190 or so, and waited with the other €205 or so for the price to drop a little.

Seems to be a mistake to wait, because I doubt it will even get close to €200 again, let alone €190. Should have just bought 2 bitcoin at €190 instead of just one.

I read something about a vast Russian MMM ponzi currently operating in South Africa buying up Bitcoins. Any news?

Quote
Bobby Lee, CEO of Chinese exchange BTCC, told CoinDesk his platform has seen a significant volume increase, though he dismissed much of his competitors' volume as "artificial".

Those behind the volume, he said, are not traders but consumers sucked into a Russian ponzi scheme, MMM.

"We have posted warnings on our site and on our social media to warn users to be careful, but they have been coming to our exchange and buying out like crazy," he said, adding:

"This time it's not speculative trading but based on them getting sucked into this ecosystem."

https://twitter.com/YourBTCC/status/654273706013798401?lang=en

"South Africa" must include a many of the poorest and least educated people there.

Ah, bitcoin -- bringing First World financial ruin to the unbanked in the Third World...

May you all go broke, and burn in hell...

Aww shucks professor, I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said. Glad to see you can finally open up and be honest with your feelings.
