It was a long squeeze... Traders will buy back as soon as price increases. possible, but it can also see a lower high.. Not even a 50% retracement from the 500$ high.. l can also see this developing into a downtrend from here.. Maybe 2xx$ coins ? we will see |

lol there are almost no bears in the market... Look at the positions everybody is bullish... This is how the market currently looks when everybody is bullish.. We only have ~5k BTC margin short on BFX while there are over 22 million$ (at current price ~64k BTC) Margin Long... That's a ratio of 12.8 : 1.. And all these people want to cash out at profit. There is not even a option for a shortqueez while a long squeez will crush some people buying the breakout.. Not saying it will go down because of that, but it won't go up because there are any bears in the market which could be squeezed. Overall I think people are way too many people are pure Bulls in the market currently... |

Has there been any news to go with this retracement? My guess is that there was too much optimism about a consenus on BIP 101 as the blocksize solution.

Thanks to the insistence of many supporters on reddit, my 90 day ban on /r/btc has just been reduced to 2 days. I cannot think of any other explanation for the sudden price drop. Actually, it seems that my ban from /r/btc was just accidental; but the mods need to save their face, hence I could not be simply unbanned --- and several of my supporters were themselves banned for their protests (one of them for 600 days!). The irony is that /r/btc is owned by Roger Ver, self-proclaimed defensor and martyr of free speech; and was offered as a safe haven to refugees who left (or were banned from) /r/bitcoin because of theymos's ruthless censorship of any big block advocacy, a couple of months ago.
