Edan Yago (CEO of Epiphyte) at the 2013 Bitcoin conference

He reveals that the host country of the project was supposed to be Honduras, in his reply to one of the first questions.

Another interview from 2014, no relevant info.

"Through this lens, Yago described its proof-of-concept as a cross-network settlement engine that allows "instant settlement" on a distributed ledger but that ultimately sends transactions across “multiple proprietary payment systems”.

Bitcoin’s security and network effects, he asserted, make it the ideal blockchain for enterprise clients like Visa Europe that are seeking to extend their payment systems. For example, he suggested that if one bitcoin services provider went down, the open nature of the bitcoin platform would allow users to route payments through another provider."

Does anyone want to try and decipher what he's talking about here? Sounds like payment channel/lightning?

Well, no. At that point, he is clearly referring to an earlier attempt on the part of his group. The one that fell through when the Honduran Supreme Court overturned the constitutional changes that would have allowed the project to happen therein.  See 7:00 - "when ... interests in Honduras .. rejected the plan, it was a bitter defeat. But Honduras was not the only country we were negotiating with. Queitly we have been working with a different country on a different project"

You can make a great profit if you're willing to HODL & wait a year or two.
It's no different to a fixed rate bank bond....oh actually it is, they give you 2% interest on your savings per year. In 2 years bitcoin's value SHOULD be at least 100% more than it is now.

If we start serving cockamamie in this thread I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Bitcoin's a wild ride with no safety-net and no guarantees. You are promised nothing.

market looks and feels bullish  Grin
some say its a bull market now but it feels like it hasn't really set in, poeple really expect to see 2xx again, and even most bulls think 2xx is possible, pretty soon we'll be sitting at 335 for a few days, and then, just continue on, never to return.

Then it was a fake dash up in price  Tongue
If it was $317 from start of the day and it is ending at $333, not a bad day at all but not news worthy.
Somebody was flicking at the whale tails but got sh*t on instead.
Wait until a repeat of the beginning of the month again. Then you call the Washington post for headlining news  Grin
