...BIP 9. The proposal intends to make soft fork deployment an easier process by allowing multiple forks to be deployed at the same time. This is achieved through changes to how the “version” field in blocks is interpreted by nodes on the network.

Price can't go up because transaction volume can't go up. It's that simple, so unless you know about some secret deal between core, nodes and miners to increase capacity, enjoy watching the value of your holdings slowly deteriorate.
