Segwit soon + 2mb fork being scheduled by core = around 4mb blocks during 2017, there's nothing to discuss about block size unless you demand 8mb now.

until it happens, it still didnt happen.. all this was already supposed to have happened, yet it never did happen.. and now your saying its going to happen supposedly soon.. just like before.. deja vu .. how about getting the work done first... and then we will stop discussing it.

exactly. It's like buying chickens from someone who only has eggs. The likelihood of eggs becoming chickens is less than a certainty, and the risk needs to be factored in.

In the mean time, spam attacks now reliably cause the price to drop ~$20 and price doesn't seem to fully recover when they are over. Buying now seems to offer more risk than reward and waiting appears to be prudent.

I would rather buy at $600 with a 90% chance of a 10% profit than buy at $300 with a 40% chance of doubling my money. There will be plenty of time to profit if a scaling solution actually plays out,  but it hasn't played out yet and there is a real possibility that it won't. People who have a financial interest in preventing/delaying SegWit know how to do it because the smallblockers have shown them how to do it. A vocal minority can inject enough FUD by spewing technobabble to prevent a near unanimous consensus.  That's all it takes to kill an upgrade under Wladimir.

I absolutely don't understand. This seems like nothing strange to me. Where do I miss the point?

I'm all for the idea of promoting multiple forums , but why one run by someone who has stolen so much.
You may disagree with Theymos moderation and even call some of it censorship but that is far less of a "crime" than what cypherdoc has committed.

Why would you want to be associated with someone like him?

As long as I'm not gagged, couldn't care less who runs a forum. Like worrying about who runs the internet, or who makes the paper I write on.

Even though you seem thrilled to find and post bearish bitcoin news, those articles could also be read as bullish... - especially the second one because in the end, there seems to be quite a bit of decentralized decision-making and investment going into bitcoin, that signifies that individuals (and small companies, and maybe even governments) will be continuing to invest in bitcoin's computing power and into securing the blockchain (as well as attempting to control some of the mining process).

Good ole competition may well cause a computing power arms race in respects to bitcoin.  Even if it seems to be wasteful, it surely shows anticipated ongoing interest.

Plenty of permabulls here, happy to post bullish news, I'm just playing for the other team. Cheesy
About market direction, IMO if during the next 2 days there won't be a pump that turns 6h MACD to positive, then we'll crash.
If there will be a pump, we'll still crash after that, but from a higher price point... Grin

Just like the shill known as Kwukduck, you have constantly predicted "crash" after "crash" for like a year, yet the price just keeps going up.  Now, with a halving coming, when only a complete idiot thinks the price can go down, you still spam the same shit.

Yes and no. He made serious scratch by pimping HashFast, but he also was upfront about being on HF payroll.
People got pissed once they figured out just how much he made.
Just can't stand to see the other fellow win.

@cockroach: How can you call this "spam"?! Shocked

That's, like the worst news ever, Bitcoin is illegal everywhere in the world and is nothing but an internet meme! We've all been had Cry
P.S. Even MP don't wanna play with you kids anymore, how does it feel? Cheesy

Good articles. I think the PoS∕PoW discussion is next on the list when the scaling issue has been resolved. Hopefully Ethereum will have shown that PoS can work by then.

It's the only time I've ever seen iCEBREAKER defend cypherdoc. I don't know if it helps (iCE and morals... meh), but it's interesting.

Also kind of interesting to see all the anarcaps and libertarians trying to rip cypher a new one for not redistributing money that is lawfully his.

Double standards are twice as good as the regular kind.
