Thanks. Looking for convenience and low fees really. Used to use Stamp but the bank fees and appalling FX rate was killing me. I've bought from bitbargain, three years ago as I was learning about BTC, but selling would be a hassle. Will look into Kraken but anywhere abroad will probably use SEPA, which incurs vast penalties. I've got a friend who uses LocalBitcoins, but I don't like the idea of waiting around and doing it all manually. Basically the banking sector here sucks with regard to bitcoin.
Try Bittylicious? I've no idea what it's like as a seller but they're superb to buy from. I'm not sure whether it's in any way automated but try asking them. You get a juicy premium too. Bittylicious is excellent for buying. Same deal with selling as bitbargain, though - approval process and of course you have to wait around and make manual transfers. Will probably stick with Coinfloor for now. They're not terrible, I was just spoiled by the convenience of Circle, sending coins and having them turn up as GBP, with no further action necessary on my part, practically zero slippage and no withdrawal fees. It was too good to be true. Banksters. The day of reckoning is nigh. You could try coinbase either and that's what I have been using cos their exchange is fine by me and I have no regret using it so far.

Stamp is a pilot fish. Becoming kind of irrelevant WRT price discovery. I only follow it for nostalgic purposes - just want to see that ATH go.

It's in flux. About $350k gets you through that wall.

Who would win if someone weighing 19 stone went in the ring with someone at 7 stone wet through ? Its not that stamps price is invalid in any way - it is what it is - but its not reflective of the wider population distribution.

... Never risk the lot, make good profits on high risks with small stakes, or lower risks with bigger stakes.
And don't be greedy, always sell your position 'too early' it's way better than 'too late'.
This is not always true. If you sold too early and the price was $100 But selling at "too late" is $500 after a crash... I was paraphrasing the Rothschilds who said they made their money by always selling too early. Basically it is always 'too early', until it's too late. I sold a few at 1130, because it was near the old ATH and gold price and I had not cashed ANYTHING in yet. You might as well divest a little and realise some profit. Let's face it - those of us here a few years have to take some out eventually. You may be (personally) interested to know that it was actually cashing out some XMR into BTC which I then used an exchange to convert to old-fashioned fiat. Buys me that new drive I have wanted at home, so I am happy. I still have plenty of BTC to enjoy selling at much, much higher prices. And if it goes down, I can be happy too. I am still looking for ways to go direct to spend, but realistically via BTC is still the best way. Selling too early is a big risk too though. If you sell at $1K then it goes to $10K you'd be spewing, do you buy back in at 2K? or sit out? I think top of first dead cat bounce is quite a nice point to exit

I think we need to reevaluate volume so we can accurately understand the power of these exchanges..
Something like.. Total bought ratio to total sold and the volume of that difference/gap would be actual money coming into and out of the market on that exchange vs total buy/sell vol..
With no fees you can buy and sell your own coins all day long but you can't really buy more than you sold or sell more than you bought unless your actually putting a steak out there, or area good trader and wind up with more of everythng..
